FEBRUARY 6, 1862 - PAGE 2 <br />Mr. Leonard reported on the Utilities Committee Meeting of January 27, 1862 and <br />advised that the Cleveland Electric Illuminating Co. representatives are working <br />in an attempt to resolve the easement problem with the residents on Coe Ave. and <br />that they felt they could solve this problem. <br />Mr. Leonard requested that the Service Director make an up to date status report <br />on where surveys have been requested for street lights but not completed, where <br />street lights have been ordered but not installed and the possibility of obtaining <br />an up to date street light map from Cleveland Electric Illuminating Co. He also <br />requested the Service Director to obtain a survey of Lorain Road for mercury <br />lighting and dividing it into three sections; Fairview line to Great Northern <br />Shopping Center; Great Northern to North Olmsted Park and from the Park to the <br />county line. <br />The Utilities Committee's suggestion to obtain the opinion of the Planning Commission <br />as to the feasibility of developers getting street lights installed as part of <br />the improvements of the devil opment, the developer standing all costs until dedication <br />was turned over to the City Planning Committee for their review. <br />The recommendation of the Committee on Appointments was not geven due to the absence <br />of the Chairman, Mr. O'Neill. <br />Mr. Christman reported on the meeting of the Public Development and Service Committee <br />concerning the development of land on Clague Rd. and advised that the request for <br />payment by the City for work done on the sewer in the tree lawn in front of the <br />Love property on Grace Rd. will have to be checked further so that a breakdown <br />can be given as to what material and labor was used in the tree lawn and what was <br />used in the basement. <br />Mr. Christman advised that the Committee, <br />Operator, recommends that the City should <br />Trucks into the Disposal Plant. <br />after checking with the DisposalT~~~nt <br />not allow the dumping of Septic/Cleaning <br />Mr. Caster advised that there will be a Finance Committee meeting on Saturday, <br />February 10, 1$62 at g A.M. <br />Mrs. Nicholas reported that the Legislative Committee checked with the Law <br />Director concerning Ordinances 3188 and 61-224 and the Law Director advised <br />that 61-224 is in order and that no further action is necessary. <br />Mrs. Nicholas advised that Mr. Caster was to check the petition for a storm sewer <br />on Decker Road but nod that the Service Director has received requests to remove <br />names for the petition, the petition must be rechecked by the Engineer. <br />Mr. Christman moved, seconded by Mr. Mangani, to have the Varady Subdivision post <br />the same amount of monies as Libby-Lee so that a contract to install the service <br />lines can be entered into. "Yeas" Caster, Christman, Leonard, Limpert, Mangani, <br />Nicholas. <br />Ordinance No. 62-12 was introduced by Mr. Christman. An ordinance to provide for <br />the issuance and sale of a note in anticipation of the lelzy of special assessments <br />and in anticipation of the issuance of bonds to pay the cost of constructing a <br />five foot concrete public sidewalk on both sides of Canterbury Road from Lorain <br />Road northerly to the northerly City limits, where not already inst~led, and <br />declaring an emergency. It was moved by Mr. Christman, seconded by Mr. Caster, <br />that the statutory rule be suspended and the ordinance be read immediately the <br />second and third times and put on its passage. The affirmative vote on said <br />motion was as follows: Caster, Christman, Leonard, Limpert, Mangani, Nicholas. <br />Thereupon the ordinance was read the second and third times and put upon its <br />passage and the affirmative vote thereon was as follow: Caster, Christman, <br />Leonard, Limpert, Mangani, Nicholas. <br />Resolution No. 62-13 was introduced by Mrs. Nicholas. A resolution in memory <br />of Evelyn Hinkle, who passed away on January 18, 1862. It was moved by Mrs. <br />Nicholas, seconded by Mr. Limpert, that the statutory rule be suspended and the <br />resolution be read immediately the second and third times and put on its <br />passage. The affirmative vote on said motion was as follows: Caster, Christman, <br />Leonard, Limpert, Mangani, Nicholas. Thereupon the resolution was read the second <br />and third times and put upon its passage and the affirmative vote thereon was <br />as follows: Caster, Christman, Leonard, Limpert, Mangani, Nicholas. <br />~` Mrs. Nicholas advised that the Legislative Committee recommends that no action <br />be taken to dispose of the Summerland property at the present time. <br />
