<br />In regards to membership in the Cleveland Safety Council, l~,r, P~acDona.l:
<br />stated he would be glad to represent our Council.
<br />The Solicitor advised th.e Court upheld the issuance of the permit for
<br />the gasoline station to be erected at the northwest corner of Lorain
<br />and Columbia oads.
<br />J:cdinance No. 2924, employing the law firm of Squire, Sanders and llempsey
<br />as special counsel to assist the Solicitor in the proceedings requisite
<br />for the authorization and issuance of bonds of the City for the purpose
<br />of financing and construction of a sanitary sewerage plans and sewerage
<br />lines, was given its second reading.
<br />Resolution No, 2927 authorizin„ the Safety Lirector tc enter into a mutual
<br />aid contract with Olmsted Township for mutual aid in fire protection,
<br />was given its second reading,
<br />Resolution No. 2931 was introduced by Mr. `.•Jilson. A resolution employing
<br />special counsel to represent the City in the matter of the appeal
<br />perfected by other municipalities of Cuyahoga County in the allocation
<br />by the Budget Commission of said county of funds from the local government
<br />fund to the city, and declaring an emergency. It was moved by Mr. ~~dilson,
<br />seconded by Pars. Hin'~el, that t:~7e statutory rule be suspended and the
<br />resolution be read immediately the second and third times and put on its
<br />passage. The affirm<~.tive vote on said motion was as follows: Hinkel,
<br />~ixson, Kramer, Lynch, N;acDo; a1a, C'ATeill, :Nilson. Thereupon the resolution
<br />was read the second and third tic~~es and put upon its passage and the
<br />affirmative vote thereon ~~*as as follows: ~inkel, rlixson, Kramer, Lynch,
<br />P~:acDcnald, O'~;eill, ?r•filson,
<br />Inrith resj~ect to the direction of Council to ask the Solicitor to institute
<br />a suit agai~zst the J. « L. Turkey Earm, A;r. Hixson asl~ed to go on record
<br />the City would not have a chance of winning the suit.
<br />The Clerk advised tl~e County will nvt accept the assessment sleets. :'lo;7d

<br />In regards to the s~~ecifications for the police cars, back-up lights were
<br />left out of the notice. The Safety Director and Police Chief would like
<br />t_~e:n added.

<br />Due to General Election 'oeing helc at the City of North Olmsted, Ohie
<br />on November 3rd, the next regular. meetinb of the Council will be held.
