<br />.. ..~ <br />SEPTEMBER 16, 1959 - PAGE 3, <br />The President of Council stated he had been contacted in regards to <br />damage to a building by bullet holes from the pursuit of the speeder. <br />He is to direct this gentleman to forward a letter to the City, <br />stating his request for damages, and also that he get estimates of <br />the cost of repairs and send in the bill. <br />In the absence of Mr. MacDonald, Mr. Hixson reported Mr, Baxter of <br />Hayden Miller Company requested to meet with the Council as a whole <br />on September 2$th, at 8:00 P.M., to discuss what might have to be done <br />prior to December in order to comply with certain Rules and Regulations <br />of the Grant. <br />Mrs. Hinkel inquired regarding action taken relative to the pond behind <br />Charles Avenue. Discussion ensued and it was determined the Solicitor <br />set up a meeting with Mr. Kinchen, Mr. Wiseman, Mr. Sherman, and the <br />Safety Committee for Saturday morning. <br />Mr. Korinka again appeared before Council relative to the unimproved <br />portion of Decker Road, inquiring what is to be done. The Engineer <br />stated the petition lacked description and was returned to Council. <br />He also requested clarification as to the type of paving. A determina- <br />tion is to be made on the paving and the description of the area involved <br />will be returned to the Engineer. <br />The Service Director reported the Board of Control had awarded the <br />purchase of the truck body for the one-ton truck to Power Brake and <br />Equipment Company at a cost of X865.00. <br />It was moved by Mr. O'Neill, seconded by Mrs. Hinkel, the Solicitor be <br />directed to prepare the necessary legislation to increase the wages <br />of the Bus Superintendent $500.00 per year, and the Bus Inspector $300.00 <br />per year, effective October lst, 1959."Yeas" Hinkel Hixson, U'Neill,Wilson. <br />It was moved by rlr. Hixson, seconded by Mrs. Hinkel the absences of <br />Mr. MacDonald, Mr. Kramer, and Mrs. Lynch, be excused. "Yeas" Hinkel, <br />Hixson, O'Neill, GJilson. <br />The meeting adjourned to the call of the Clark at 10:32 P.M., until <br />September 22nd, 8:00 P.M., for the purpose of acting on pending <br />legislation. <br />/~ '' ~ ~.~C..r- <br />E.
