<br />Resolution No. 28$7 was introduced by Nir. Hixson. A resolution of
<br />commendation for Roland Damm and John Scufka for their services to
<br />Leonard Bilek, 31342 Lorain Road. It was moved by Mr. Hixson, seconded
<br />by Mrs. Lynch, the resolution be adopted as read. "Yeas" Hinkel, Hixson,
<br />Kramer, Lynch, MacDonald, 'nlilson.
<br />Discussion ensued relative to the adoption of the State Building Code,
<br />enabling the City to collect permit fees for Commercia_1 Buildings, inasmuch
<br />as the City can produce the qualified, competent personnel. It was moved
<br />by Mr. MacDonald, seconded by Mrs. Hinkel, the Solicitor draw up the
<br />necessary legislation for the adoption of the State Building Code. "Yeas"

<br />Resolution No. 28$8 was introduced by t~..r. MacDonald. A resolution ad-
<br />vertising for bids on bonds in the amount of ~69,~~0,00 for the improvements
<br />of pitch Road sidewalk, Decker noad Paving, Decker Road storm sewer, and
<br />Lucille and Lessner Road ~1 and #~2 sidewalks, It was moved by Mr. MacDonald,
<br />seconded by Mrs. Lynch, the resolution be read immediately the second and
<br />third times and put on its passage. The affirmative vote on said motion
<br />was as follows: Hinkel, Hixson, Kramer, Lynch, MacDonald, ?~Jilson. There-
<br />upon the resolution wa.s read the second and third times and put upon its
<br />passage and the affirmative vote thereon was as follows: Hinkel, Hixson,

<br />resolution No. 2889 was introduced by NSr. Kramer. A resolution to advertise
<br />assessments in the amount of X205,700 sewer improvement. It was moved by
<br />A:r. Kramer, seconded by Mr. tiJilson, that the statutory rule be suspended
<br />and the resolution be read immediately the second and third times and put
<br />on its passage. The affirmative vote on said motion was as follows;
<br />Kinkel, I3ixson, Kramer, Lynch, D"acDonald, 'rJilson. Thereupon the resolu-
<br />tion was read the second and third times and put upon its passage and
<br />the affirmative vote thereon was as follows; Hinkel, Hixson, Kramer,

<br />Resolution No. 2ti90 was introduced by Mr. PacDonald. A resolution determing
<br />ing to proceed with the election upon the proposed issue of bonds for
<br />paying the property owners' portion and the City's portion of part of the
<br />cost of constructing a Municipal Sanitary Sewerage Treatment I~-1ant a.nd
<br />sanitary sewers. It was moved by Mr. 1~'lacDonald, seconded by Mr. Kramer,
<br />that the statutory rule be suspended and the resolution be read ir.~mediately
<br />the second and third times and put on its passage. The affirmative vote
<br />on said motion was as follows: Hinkel, Hixson, Kramer, Lynch, MacDonald,
<br />Gti'ilson. Thereupon the resolution was read the second and third times and
<br />put upon its passage and the affirmative vote thereon was as follows:

<br />The Service Director reported the State is now taking bids for the
<br />resurfacing of Columbia Road and that they should be starting about
<br />July 20th.
<br />The Clerk read a copy of a letter from the State of Ohio addressed to
<br />the Horvitz Company stating final inspection of Lorain road has been
<br />made and the work has been completed in accordance with the contract,
<br />and they are relieved of the responsibility for further maintenance of
<br />this project. This acceptance is subject to the provisions of the last
<br />paragraph of Section G-9.06 of the specifications.
<br />It was moved by Mr. R':acDonald, seconded by Mr. ~silson, NIr. C'Neill's
<br />absence be excused. "Yeas" Hinkel, Hixson, Kramer, Lynch, MacDonald,
