MINUTES OF AN ADJOURNED MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, OHIO <br />APRIL 28, 1959 - - 8:05 P.M. <br />Present were Ralph A. Hazelton, President of Council, Evelyn Hinkel, <br />Eddie Hixson, Wm. H. Kramer, Mary Alice Lynch, Bruce MacDonald, Francis <br />O~Neill and James Wilson. <br />Also present were C. J. Oviatt, Solicitor and E. M. Christman, Clerk. <br />In attendance at Planning Commission were Paul J. Gareau, Mayor; Lloyd E. <br />Barnes, Service Director and Acting Safety Director; Alex Kanareff, Engineer. <br />Absent: Alice Dobbins, Treasurer <br />Ordinance No. 2839 was introduced by Mr. Wilson. An ordinance to levy special <br />assessments for the improvement of Gessner Road Sidewalk No. 1 from Lorain <br />Road to Walter Road by constructing and installing therein a sidewalk on both <br />sides thereof. It was moved by Mr. Wilson, seconded by Mr. Kramer, that the <br />statutory rule be suspended and the ordinance be read immediately the second <br />and third times and put on its passage. The ~.ffirmative vote on said motion <br />was as follows: Hinkel, Hixson, Kramer, Lynch, MacDonald, O~Neill, Wilson. <br />Thereupon, the ordinance was read the second and third times and put on its <br />passage and the affirmative vote thereon was as follows: Hinkel, Hixson, <br />Kramer, Lynch, MacDonald, O~Neill~ Wilson. <br />Ordinance No. 2840 was introduced by Mr. Hixson. An ordinance to levy special <br />assessments for the improvement of Gessner Road Sidewalk No. 2 from Walter Road <br />westerly to Columbia Road by constructing and installing therein a sidewalk on <br />both sides thereof. It was moved by Mr. Hixson, seconded by Mrs. Hinkel, that <br />that the statutory rule be suspended and the ordinance be read immediately the <br />second and third times and put on its passage. The affirmative vote on said <br />motion was as follows: Hinkel, Hixson, Kramer, Lynch, MacDonald, O~Neill, Wilson. <br />Thereupon the ordinance was read the second and third times and put on its <br />passage and the affirmative vote thereon was as follows: Hinkel, Hixson, <br />Kramer, Lynch, MacDonald, O~Neill, Wilson. <br />Ordinance No. 2841 was introduced by Mr. Kramer. An ordinance to levy special <br />assessments for the improvement of Lucille Drive from Grace Road to the easterly <br />boundary of Metropolitan Park Allotment. It was moved by Mr. Kramer, seconded <br />by Mrs. Lynch, that the statutory rule be suspended and the ordinance be read <br />immediately the second and third times and put on its passage. The affirmative <br />vote on said motion was as follows: Hinkel, Hixson, Kramer, Lynch, MacDonald, <br />O~Neill, Wilson. Thereupon, the ordinance was read the second and third times <br />and put on its passage and the affirmative vote thereon was as follows: Hinkel~ <br />Hixson, Kramer, Lynch, MacDonald, O~Neill, Wilson. <br />Resolution No. 2842 was introduced by Mr. Hixson. A resolution transferring <br />balances of construction funds to the bond retirement and special assessment <br />bond retirement funds and a recreation fund. It was moved by Mr. Hixson, <br />seconded by Mr. O~Neill, that the statutory rule be suspended and the resolution <br />be read immediately the second and third times and put on its passage. The <br />affirmative vote on said motion was as follows: Hinkel, Hixson, Kramer, Lynch, <br />MacDonald, O~Neill, Wilson. Thereupon, the resolution was read the second and <br />third times and put on its passage and the affirmative vote thereon was as <br />follows: Hinkel~ Hixson, Kramer, Lynch, MacDonald, O~Neill, Wilson. <br />Ordinance No. 2x43 was introduced by Mrs. Hinkel. An ordinance authorizing end <br />directing the cancellation of special assessments on Permanent Parcel No. <br />232-5-35 on Brookpark Extension Water Main in the City of North Olmsted and <br /><~ declaring an emergency. It was moved by Mrs. Hinkel, seconded by Mrs. Lynch, <br />that the statutory rule be suspended and the ordinance be read immediately <br />the second and third times and put on its passage. The affirmative vote on <br />said motion was as followss Hinkel, Hixson, Kramer, Lynch, MacDonald, O~Neill, <br />Filson. Thereupon, the resolution was read the second and third times and put <br />on its passage and the affirmative vote thereon was as follows: Hinkel, Hixson, <br />Kramer, Lynch MacDonald O~Neill, Wilson. <br />- 1 - <br />
