<br />COUNCIL OF '"Hr~ CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, OHIO
<br />JUNE 30, 1959 - 8:15 P.M.
<br />Present were Paul J. Gareau, Mayor; Ralph A. Hazelton, President of
<br />Council; Evelyn Hinkel, Eddie Hixson, FJ. H. Kramer, Mary Alice Lynch,
<br />Bruce MacDonald, Francis J. O'Neill, and James T. Wilson.
<br />Also present were Lloyd E. Barnes, Service Director; C. J. Ovia.tt,
<br />Solicitor; Alex Kanareff, Engineer; and E. Di. Christman, Clerk.
<br />Abeent: T. J. ?~aleigh, Safety Director, and Alice Dobbins Rhire,
<br />Treasurer.
<br />The President of Council announced there would be a Public Hearing on
<br />the adoption of the Budget for the year 1960. There were no objections.
<br />Resolution No. 2869 kas introduced by Mr. 4iilson. A resolution adopting
<br />the Budget of the City of North Olmsted for the fiscal year beginning
<br />January 1, 1960, and submitting the same to the County Auditor. It was
<br />moved by DTr. 4Jilson, seconded by D;r. Kramer, that the statutory .rule be
<br />suspended and the resolution be read immediately the second and third times
<br />and put on its passage. The affirmative vote on said motion was as follows:
<br />Hinkel, Hixson, Kramer, Lynch, 14iacllondld, O'Neill, Wilson. Thereupon the
<br />resolution was read the second and third times and put upon its passage and
<br />the affirmative vote thereon was as follows: Hinkel, Hixson, Kramer,
<br />Lynch, MacDonald, O'Neill, ?Filson.
<br />Ordinance No. 2870 was introduced by Mr. Kramer. An ordinance to levy
<br />special assessments for the improvement of Fitch Road from Butternut
<br />~2idge ~3oad southerly to the southerly City line by constructing and
<br />installing therein a five foot concrete public sidewalk on both sides
<br />thereof, and repealing Ordinance No. 2649 enacted March 4, 1958. It
<br />was moved by Mr. Kramer, seconded by Nirs. Hinkel, that the statutory
<br />rule be suspended and the ordinance be read immediately the second and
<br />third times and put on its passage. The affirmative vote on said motion
<br />was as follows: Hinkel, Hixson, Framer, Lynch, MacDonald, O'Neill, '~~iilson.
<br />Thereupon the ordinance was read the second and third times and put upon
<br />:its passage and the affirmative vote thereon was as follows: Hinkel,
<br />Hixson, T~ramer, Lynch, ;MacDonald, O'Neill, t^tilson.
<br />Ordinance Ido. 2871 was introduced by Mrs. Hinkel, An ordinance to levy
<br />special assessments for the improvement of Decker Road Storm Sewer No. 2
<br />from Midvale Avenue southerly to the south line of sublot Nc. 396 by
<br />constructing and installing therein a storm sewer, and repealing Ordinance
<br />No, 2832 enacted April 7, 1959. 7.t was moved by D".rs. Finkel, seconded by
<br />Mrs. Lynch, that the statutory rule be suspended and the ordinance be
<br />read immediately the second and third times and put on its passage. The
<br />affirmative vote on said motion was as follows: Hinkel, Hixson, Kramer,
<br />Lynch, MacDonald, O'Neill, Wilson. Thereupon the ordinance was read the
<br />second and third times and put on its passage and the affirmative vote
<br />thereon was as follows: Hinkel, Hixson, Kramer, Lynch, DacDonald, O'Neill,
<br />Wilson.
<br />Ordinance No. 2872 was introduced by Mrs. Lynch. An ordinance to levy
<br />special assessments for the improvement of Decker road from Lorain Road
<br />southerly to DZidvale Avenue by grading and paving thereof, and repealing
<br />Grdinance No. 2831, enacted April 7, 1959• It was moved by P9rs. Lynch,
<br />seconded by Mr. Kramer, tYiat tYie statutory rule be suspended and the
<br />ordinance be read immediately the second and third times and put on its
<br />passage. The affirmative vote on said motion was as follows: Hinkel,
<br />Hixson, Kramer, Lynch, MacDonald, O'Neill, Wilson. Thereupon the ordinance
<br />was read the second and third times and put on its passage and the affirma-
<br />tive vote thereon was as follows: Hinkel, i:ixson, Kramer, Lynch, MacDonald,
<br />O'Neill, 6Jilson.
<br />Ordinance No. 2873 was introduced by Mr. l~Jilson. An ordinance to levy
<br />special assessments for the improvement of Gessner Road from Lorain Road
<br />to Walter Road by constructing and installing therein a five foot concrete
<br />public sidewalk on both sides thereof. It was moved by Mr. bJilson, seconded
<br />by Dirs. Lynch, that the statutory rule be suspended a.nd the ordinance be
<br />read immediately the second and third times and put on its passage. The
<br />affirmative vote on said motion was as follows: Hinkel, :~ixson, Kramer,
