<br />Ordinance No. 2811 was introduced by Mr. Wilson. An ordinance amending the
<br />salary ordinance for members of the Police and Fire Departments. It was
<br />- moved by Mr. Wilson, seconded by Mrs. Lynch, that the statutory rule be sus-
<br />pended and the ordinance be read immediately the second and third times and put
<br />on its passage. Tire affirmative vote on said motion was as follows: Hinkel,

<br />Mr. Wilson read a letter from Mayor Gareau endorsing a change in the salary
<br />of the Service Director and calling attention to the fact that if the Charter
<br />should be passed, the position of Service Director will become full-time. It
<br />was moved by Mr. Hiason, seconded by Mrs. Lynch, that the salary of the Service
<br />Director be X4,500.00. "Yeas" Hinkel, Hixson, Lynch, MacDonald, O'Neill,
<br />Wilson.
<br />Ordinance No. 2812 was introduced by Mr. Hiason. An ordinance amending Section
<br />3 of Ordinance No. 2214 enacted October 4: 1955, entitled "An ordinance de-
<br />termining salaries, wages and bonds of appointed officials and employees of the
<br />City of Horth Olmsted" end declaring an emergency. It was moved by Mr. Hiason,
<br />seconded by Mrs. Lynch, that the statutory rule be suspended and the ordinance
<br />3ie read immediately the second and third times and put on its passage. The
<br />affirmative vote on said motion was as follows: Hinkel, Hixson, Lynch, MacDonald,
<br />O'Neill, Wilson. Thereupon, the ordinance was read the second and third times and
<br />put upon its passage and the affirmative vote thereon was as followsz Hinkel,
<br />$iason, Lynch, MacDonald, O'Neill, Wilson.
<br />It was moved by Mr. MacDonald, seconded by Mrs. Lynch, that the Solicitor
<br />prepare necessary legislation in connection with the enlargement of the
<br />sewerage treatment plant of the Great Northern Shopping Center, with a proviso
<br />that it comply with the overall city plan at a later date. "Yeas" Hinkel,
<br />Hixson, Lynch, MacDonald, O'Neill, Wilson.
<br />Mr. Alec Tuma, Lessner Road, requested Council to advise as to whether any per-
<br />mit had been granted for a zoo to be located on Lorain Road. The Mayor ad-
<br />vised that no permit has been requested and that our ordinance does require that
<br />when an occupancy is changed from residential to any other type of occupancy, a
<br />use certificate must be issued. The Building Commissioner advised that he con-
<br />tacted the individual involved and notified him that it would be necessary to
<br />apply for a use certificate and that he understands there is a petition in
<br />existence and he would like to have it within the next 10 days.
<br />It was moved by Mr. O~Neill, seconded by Mr. Wilson, that a permit be denied
<br />to Suburbanite Homes, Ire. in connection with the sewer line on Terrace Drive,
<br />proposed. "Yeas" Hinkel, Hiason, Lynch, MacDonald, O'Neill, Wilson. The Clerk
<br />of Council is to forward a letter to Mr. Norman Morley advising him of Council's
<br />decision.
<br />Resolution No. 2813 was introduced by Mr. MacDonald. A resolution approving ditch
<br />grading plan of West Park Estates and re~eeting alternate plan. It was moved by
<br />Mr. MacDonald, seconded by Mr. Wilson, that the statutory rule be suspended and
<br />the resolution be read immediately the second and third times and put on its
<br />passage. The affirmative vote on said motion was as follows: Hinkel, Hixson,
<br />Lynch, MacDonald, O'Neill, Wilson. Thereupon, the resolution was read the second
<br />and third times and put upon its passage and the+affirmative vote thereon was
<br />as follows: Hinkel, Hixson, Lynch, MacDonald, 0 Neill, Wilson.
<br />Mr. Wilson advised he had contacted the residents in connection with the work
<br />done on Theresa Lane and they are satisfied. He recommended payment of the
<br />statement of M. P. Platter & Son. It was moved by Mr. Wilson, seconded by Mr.
<br />MacDonald, that the statement of M. P. Platter & Son, Inc. be paid,in the amount
<br />of X1,500.50. "Yeas" Hinkel, Hiason, Lynch, MacDonald, O'Neill, Wilson.
