<br />It was moved by Mr. Wilson, seconded by Mr. MacDonald, that the Solicitor
<br />be directed to prepare the necessary legislation to increase Council
<br />members salaries from the present X720.00 to $1,200.00 per year, and the
<br />President of Council from $900.00 to $1,400.00 per year, effective January

<br />Ordinance No. 2792 was introduced by Mr. Wilson. An Ordinance amending
<br />Section 1 of Ordinance 2215 enacted October 4, 1955, being an ordinance
<br />fixing and determining salaries and bonds of elected officials of the
<br />City of North Olmsted, Ohio. It was moved by Mr. Wilson, seconded by
<br />Mr. MacDonald, that the statutory rule be suspended and the ordinance be
<br />read immediately the second and third times and put on its passage. The
<br />affirmative vote thereon was as followss Hixson, Kramer, Lynch, MacDonald,
<br />O~Neill, Wilson. Thereupon, the ordinance was read the second and third

<br />Mr. O~Neill, Chairman of the Transportation Committee, reported relative
<br />to the meeting with Mr. Ke11y and Mr. Cumler of the C1eve.tand Transmit
<br />System. Considerable information for the future was derived from this meeting.
<br />A communication was read from Mx. Guttschmitt of Parkview commending the
<br />service of the North Olmsted Municipal Bus Line.
<br />The Service Director reported the Bus Line is not making anp money on the
<br />Great Northern Shopping Center run, but the route is transporting passengers
<br />to our main line, and another sixty-day trial run is now in effect.
<br />Mrs. Lynch, Chairman of the Utilities Committee, reported that after
<br />March 1st, residents will be able to talk without toll calls.
<br />Mr. Harvey Levy, Chairman of the Recreation Commission, reported the
<br />activities of the Commission for the year 1958, and thanked everyone for
<br />their cooperation and help.
