PAGE 2 - NOVEMBER 5, 195$ <br />Mr. Wilson, as Chairman of the Finance Committee, reported that Committee <br />approved the installation of sixteen street lights this year, four in <br />each ward:.., He requested one at the entrance of Evelyn Drive, one at <br />the entrance of Eleanor Drive, one in the middle of the horseshoe, and <br />one on LeBerne Drive. The Cleveland Electric Illuminating Company is <br />to move the pole at Hall Drive at the entrance of Hall Drive and Twin <br />Circle, and requested them to move the pole to benefit the lighting at <br />the entrance of Twin Circle. <br />Mr. MacDonald reported Committee had not met relative to the determination <br />of the size of Brookpark Extension, but will da so as soon as possible, <br />and also, Committee would like to have the Fire Chief turn in his report <br />when streets are to be dedicated, relative to inspection of Fire Hydrants. <br />Mr. Bever, attorney for Mr. 73auer, appeared before Council on behalf of <br />Blanchester Homes, and it was determined a proposal be made to Mr. Flatten <br />and Blanchester Homes that the City upon having turned over to it the sum <br />of $8, 418.10, and. creating a fund for the paving of Evelyn and Eleanor <br />Drives in accordance with our requirements adjusted to the contract between <br />Blanchester Homes and Platter Construction Company, by which Flatten <br />Construction would pave said roads commencing not earlier than May 15th, <br />and not later than June 30th, 1959, and in the event that said work was <br />not so performed, the City would then let bids for the paving using said <br />funds so established. In consideration of this adjustment, Platter Con- <br />Struction Company agreed~to go in and scrape and shape the drives immediately <br />to make same passable for the Winter, and the City is to undertake all <br />ditching and replacing of all culvert pipe as necessary, whether in 1958 <br />or in 1959. <br />It was moved by Mr. Hixson, seconded by Mr. Wilson, that the $200.00 <br />cash bond of Wm. Rinyu for sidewalks on West 231st Street be accepted. <br />"Yeas" Hiniel, Hixson, Kramer, MacDonald, Wilson. <br />Mr. A. Biskind appeared before Council for approval of plans for Great <br />Northern Blvd., from Kennedy Ridge to the Shopping Center. The Engineer <br />stated the street is ten feet wider than called for, <br />It was moved by Mr. MacDonald, seconded by Mr. Kramer, absent members <br />be excused, "Yeas" Hinkel, Hixson, Kramer, MacDonald, Wilson. <br />The meeting adjourned to the call of the Clerk at 10:45 P.
