<br />Resolution No. 2719 was introduced by Mr. Kramer. A resolution declaring
<br />the amount of taxes that may be raised by levy at the maximum rate authori-
<br />zed by law without a vote of the electors to be insufficient and declaring
<br />the necessity of a levy in excess of such rate, and repealing Resolution
<br />No. 2696, enacted May 28, 1958. It was moved by Mr. Kramer, seconded by
<br />Mr. Wilson, that the statutory rule be suspended and the ordinance be read
<br />immediately the second and third times and put on its passage. The aff~r;~a-
<br />tive vote on said motion was as follows: Hinkel, Hixson, Kramer, Lyr.ch,
<br />MacDonald, O'Neill, Wilson. Thereupon, the ordinance was read the second
<br />and third times and put on its passage and the affirmative vote thereon
<br />was as follows: Hinkel, Hixson, Kramer, :Lynch, MacDonald, O'Neill, Wilson.
<br />Ordinance No. 2720 was introduced by Mr. O'Neill. An ordinance authorizing
<br />and directing cancellation of special assessments on Permanent Parcel No.
<br />232-27-18 on Gessner Road in the City of :North Olmsted and declaring an
<br />emergency. It was moved by Mr. O'Neill, seconded by Mr. Wilson, that the
<br />statutory rule be suspended and the ordinance be read immediately the
<br />second and third times and put on its passage. The affirmative vote on
<br />said motion was as follows: Hinkel, Hixson, Kramer, Lynch, MacDonald,
<br />C'Neill, Wilson. Thereupon, the ordinance was read the second and third times
<br />and put upon its passage and the affirmative vote thereon was as foil-owe:

<br />Ordinance No. 2721 was introduced by Mr. :Minkel. An ordinance authorizing
<br />the Auditor to appoint a deputy to perform his duties during his absence
<br />from the City. It was moved by Mr. Hinkel, seconded by Mr. C'Neill, that
<br />the statutory rule be suspended and the ordinance be read immediately the
<br />second and third times and put on its passage. The affirmative vote en
<br />said motion was as follows: Hinkel, Hixs~an, Kramer, Lynch, MacDonald,
<br />O'Neill, Wilson. Thereupon, the ordinances was read the second and third
<br />times and put upon its passage and the affirmative vote thereon was as
<br />follows: Hinkel, Hixson, Kramer, Lynch, MacDonald, O'Neill, T~r~ilson.
<br />The Auditor then appointed Eleanor Rupl_e +as Deputy Auditor. It was
<br />moved by Mr. Kramer, seconded by Mr. O'Ne:ill, that the appointment be
<br />approved. "Yeas" Hinkel, Hixson, Kramer, Lynch, MacDonald, O'Neill,
<br />Wilson.
<br />Resolution No. 2722 was introduced by Mr. O'Neill. A resolution trans-
<br />ferring appropriations. It was moved by Mr. O'Neill, seconded by Mr.
<br />Kramer, that the statutory rule be suspen+ied and the resolution be read
<br />immediately the second and third times and put on its passage. The
<br />affirmative vote on said motion was as fo:Llows: Hinkel, Hixson, Kramer,
<br />Lynch, MacDonald, O'Neill, ~fdilson. Thereupon, the ordinance was read the
<br />second and third times and put upon its passage and the affirmative vote
<br />thereon was as follows: Hinkel, Hixson, 1{Tamer, Lynch, MacDonald, O'Neill,
<br />Wilson.
<br />Ordinance No. 2723 was introduced by Mr. Hinkel. An ordinance repealing
<br />Ordinance 886, enacted May 1, 1951 and prohibiting peddling, soliciting,
<br />canvassing, or the hawking of merchandise or wares within the City of
<br />North Olmsted and declaring an emergency. It was moved by Mr. Hinkel,
<br />seconded by Mr. O'Neill, that the statutory rule be suspended and the
<br />ordinance be read immediately the second ;and third times and put on its
<br />passage. "Yeas" Hinkel, Lynch, MacDonald, O'Neill, Wilson. "Nays"
<br />Hixson, Kramer. The ordinance was defeat+~d and the President of Council
<br />stated that it should be turned over to the Safety Committee. Mr. Hinkel
<br />advised that this particular issue had already been to the Committee and
<br />had, subsequently, been turned over to the Solicitor.
<br />It was moved by Mr. Hinkel, seconded by M:r. O'Neill, that the Safety
<br />Committee not accept this ordinance for study, inasmuch as they had already
<br />reported. "Yeas" Hinkel, Lynch, MacDona:d, O'Neill, Wilson. "Nays"
<br />Hixson, Kramer. The majority carried.
<br />It was moved by Mr. dvrilson, seconded by Mr. O'Neill, that the motion
<br />whereby the suspension of rules on Ordinance No. 2723 was defeated be
<br />reconsidered. "Yeas" Hinkel, Hixson, Kramer, Lynch, MacDonald, O'Neill,
<br />Wilson.
