<br />Resolution No. 2656 was introduced by Mr. 6~Tilson. A resolution transferring
<br />appropriations. It was moved by Mr. Wilson, seconded by Mr. Hixson, that the
<br />statutory rule be suspended and the resolution be dead immediately the second
<br />and turd times and put on its passage. The affirmative vote on said motion
<br />was as follows: Hinkel, Hixson, Kramer, Lynch, MacDonald, O'Neill, Wilson.
<br />Thereupon, the resolution was read the second and third times and put upon
<br />its passage and the affirmative vote thereon was as follows: Hinkel, Hixson,
<br />Kramer, Lynch, MacDonald, O'Neill, t~Vilson.
<br />Resolution No. 2657 was introduced by Mr. MacDonald. A resolution requesting
<br />the Highway Department of the State of Ohio to rebuild Lorain Road, also known
<br />as State Route No. l0i from the westerly line of the City of Fairview Park
<br />westerly to the westerly line of the City of North Olmsted with a higher type
<br />.and quality of construction than exists today, and declaring an emergency. It
<br />was moved by Mr. MacDonald, seconded by P%r. Kramer, that the statutory rule
<br />be suspended and the resolution be read immediately the second and third times
<br />and put on its passage. The affirmative vote on said motion was as follows:
<br />Hinkel, Hixson, Krasner, Lynch, MacDonald, O'Neill, GZilson. Thereupon, the
<br />resolution was read the second and third times and put upon its passage and
<br />the affirmative vote thereon was as follows: Hinkel, Hson, Kramer, Lynch,
<br />MacDonald, O~Neill, ~~'ilson.
<br />The Solicitor advised he had the contract from the Metropolitan Park Board for
<br />t'r-e purchase of the fourteen (14) acres for the Sewerage Treatment Plant. It
<br />was moved by Mr. Kramer, seconded by Mr. ~rdilson, the Mayor, Service Director,
<br />and Clerk be authorized to sign the contract, "Yeas" Hinkel, Hixson, Kramer,
<br />Lynch, MacDonald, O~Neill, Wilson.
<br />It was moved by Pair. Hinkel, seconded by Mr. MacDonald, the Service Director
<br />use the employees in the Service Department to take a traffic count. "Yeas"
<br />Hinkel, Hixson, Kramer, Lynch, MacDonald, O'Neill, Wilson.
<br />It was moved by Mr. MacDonald, seconded by Mr. Wilson, the Solicitor be
<br />instructed to draw up a note ordinance in the amount of X205,700.00 for
<br />general and detailed plans, specifications, estimates, and other charges
<br />preliminary to and in connection with the construction and financing of a
<br />sewerage system for the City of North Olmsted. "Yeas" Hinkel, Hixson,
<br />Kramer, Lynch, MacDonald, O'Neill, Wilson.
<br />The Safety Director reported that a class of instruction was given on March 17th,
<br />1958 to the North Olmsted Police Department concerning trial procedure. Also,
<br />a meeting was held on TSarch 15th, 1958 with Chief George Christman; and,
<br />effective April 7, 1958 he will work a minimum of four hours per day, per
<br />six day week, or a total of twenty-four (24) hours per week at the North
<br />Olmsted Police Station in uniform. Credit for overtime will be given on an
<br />equal time-off basis.
<br />The Safety Director also advised as follows: "It is with deep regret that I
<br />tender m,Y resignation as Safety Director of the City of North Olmsted effective
<br />at midnight, March 15th, 1958. I have been designated and appointed to serve
<br />s as Police Prosecutor for various communities who are members of the Rocky ].diver
<br />Municipal Court. As a prerequisite of accepting this post, I was requested to
<br />resign as Safety Director."
<br />It was moved by Mr. Hinkel, seconded by Mr. O'Neill Council accept Patrick
<br />Gateau's resignation as Safety Director. "Yeas" Hinkel, Kramer, Lynch,
<br />MacDonald, O'Neill, irdilson. "Nay" Hixson.
<br />The meeting adjourned to the call of the Clerk at 12:05 A.M., March 19th,
