<br />The Mayor reported the crawler tractor with front end loader broke down
<br />and the estimated cost is ~/i.,500.00 for repair. It was moved by Mr. Hixson,
<br />seconded by Mr. O'Neill that the Service Director be authorized to have the
<br />equipment repaired and to rent a crawler tractor with front end loader at
<br />$50.00 per day. "Yeas" Hinkel, Hixson, Kramer, Lynch, MacDonald, O'Neill,
<br />Wilson.
<br />The Mayor appointed Wm. F. Miller, School Guard to replace Mr. Hansel.
<br />It was moved by Mr. MacDonald, seconded by Mr. O'Neill, the appointment be

<br />The Mayor appointed Patrick A. Gareau, Safety Director, effective February 1,
<br />1958.
<br />The Mayor appointed Lloyd E. Barnes, Service Director, effective February 1,
<br />1958.
<br />Resolution No. 2b32 was introduced by Mr. Hixson. A resolution appointing
<br />Lloyd E. Barnes, Service Director of the City of North Olmsted, Ohio, and
<br />declaring an emergency. It was moved by Mr. Hixson, seconded by Mr. MacDonald
<br />the resolution be adopted as read. "Yeas" Hinkel, Hixson, Kramer, Lynch,
<br />MacDonald, O'Neill, Wilson.
<br />Mr. Patrick Gareau from the audience stated that he did not care to receive
<br />the salary as Safety Director, and requested that in lieu of the salary of
<br />X1600.00 per year, it be given to the Police Department for a crime labora-
<br />tory or photography, and the second choice, it be split between the Police
<br />Department and recreatio~fpr recreation equipment.

<br />by Mr. Hixson, seconded by Mr. O'Neill, the appointment be approved. "Yeas"

<br />It was moved by Mr. Wilson, seconded by Mr. O'Neill that the Board of Control
<br />be directed to purchase a flag for the Council Chamber. "Yeas" Hinkel,

<br />It was moved by Mr. Kramer, seconded by Mrs. Lynch, the Board of Control be
<br />directed to purchase cushions for the council chamber chairs. "Yeas"
