JANUARY 7, 1958 - PAGL #3. <br />The Mayor reported regarding conversation with Judge Frost concerning <br />the establishment of the new P~iunicipal Court in Rocky River. Judge Frost <br />suggested that cities, through the Solicitors, review the ordinances in <br />their respective cities to assist in compiling a Uniform Penal and Traffic <br />Code which may be in time adopted by the Legislative body of each City. <br />In this same regard, the Mayor read a communication from Mr. Oviatt, in which <br />the Solicitor requested an allowance of X100.00 per month for stenographic <br />services, and was directed to prepare legislation for same. <br />The Mayor proclaimed the week of February 7th through February 13th, Soy <br />Scout Gveek. <br />The Tviayor read a communication from the Cleveland Safety Council regarding <br />plans to make February Courtesy Month, and appointed Mrs. Viola Biadas <br />Courtesy Chairman during the month of February, 1958. <br />Ordinance No. 2618 was introduced by Mr. Wilson. An ord~_nance providing <br />subsistance allowance to Police Officers employed by the Police Department <br />of the City of North Olmsted to permit tax benefits to said Police Officers <br />provided for by Section 120 of the 195k Internal Revenue Code. It was moved <br />by its. I'ilson, seconded by T~ir. T~TacDonald, that the statutory rule be sus- <br />pended and the ordinance be read irnr~ diately the second and third tires and <br />put on its passage. The affirmative vote on said motion was as follows: <br />Hinkel, Hixson, Kramer, Lynch, T~iacDonald, O~Neill, ~wilson. Thereupon, the <br />ordinance was read the second and third times and put upon its passage and <br />the affirmative vote thereon was as follows: Hinkel, Hixson, Kramer, Lynch, <br />T~iacDonald, OtNeill, u~ilson. <br />NTrs. Lynch read a report from Cleveland F1.ectric Illuminating Company regarding <br />street light installation in the City of North Olmsted. <br />Mr. Hinkel read a communication 7rom the Cleveland Auto Club regarding the <br />traffic seminar to be conducted by the traffic and highway departments. <br />The meeting adjourned to the call of the Clerk. <br />1 <br />E: M.
