<br />Ordinance No. 2599 was introduced by Mr. Schwenk. An ordinance fixing the
<br />compensation to be paid extra office employees and repealing ordinance No.
<br />2084, passed February 1, 1955. It was moved by Mr. Schwenk, seconded by Mr.
<br />Crider, that the statutory rule be suspended and the ordinance be read
<br />immediately the second and third times and put on its passage. The affirma-
<br />.. five vote on said motion was as follows: Baker, Crider, Kramer, MacDonald,
<br />Neubauer, Porter, Schwenk. Thereupon, the ordinance was read the second and
<br />third times and put upon its passage and the affirmative vote thereon was as

<br />Ordinance No. 2594 was given its second reading.
<br />The Building Commissioner's report showed permits in the amount of X635.90
<br />and estimated construction value X340,350.00.
<br />The Engineer stated he had received a petition for storm sewer for the upper
<br />end of Southern Avenue and recommended the south end of Burns & Porter Roads
<br />for approximately 1,000 feet on each street be included in this petition and
<br />that the sewer be large enough to serve the area. He will give the descrip-
<br />tion to the Solicitor.
<br />The Engineer stated that Decker Road paving is not finished and cannot be
<br />finished until Spring because they cannot put an asphalt mix on at this time
<br />of the year, and any soft spots will show up by that time, be repaired and
<br />the surface mix will complete the fob.
<br />A motion was made by Mr. Crider, seconded by Mr, Schwenk, the Safety-Service
<br />Director be authorized to have a sign made limiting load lots to six tons
<br />for Decker Road. "Yeas" Baker, Crider, Kramer, MacDonald, Neubauer, Porter,
<br />Schwenk.
<br />The Engineer advised that four parcels of land for the widening of the curve
<br />at Columbia and Cedar Point Roads were turnedover to the Law Director to
<br />get quit claim deeds on all of them.
<br />Resolution No. 2600 was introduced by Mr. Kramer A resolution authorizing
<br />substitution of securities. It was moved by Mr. Kramer, seconded by Mr.
<br />Neubauer, that the statutory rule be suspended and the resolution be read
<br />immediately the second and third times and put on its passage. The affirma-
<br />tive vote on said motion was as follows: Baker, Crider, Ii:ramer, MacDonald,
<br />Neubauer, Porter, Schwenk. Thereupon, the resolution was read the second and
<br />third times and put upon i.ts passage and the affirmative vote thereon was as
<br />follows: Baker, Crider, Kramer, MacDonald, Neubauer, Porter, Schwenk.
