<br />Mr. Crider reported he had contacted the State Highway Department and there
<br />was nothing on the Board for Brookpark ~,~ctension as far as their records
<br />were concerned, but advised the City take the recommendation of the Planning
<br />Commission for our ovrn protection. It was moved by Mr. Crider, seconded by
<br />A~1r. Porter that Council accept the recommendation of the Planning Commission
<br />as stated in their letter to Counci3. dated November 16, 1957. 'YYeas" Baker,

<br />Mr. Schwenk inquired regarding the status of the purchasing of sublot No. 11~
<br />off Sweetbriar Drive. The Solicitor will go ahead with the purchase of this
<br />lot as soon as he receives the information from the real estate company.
<br />The matter of rates for the rental of the North Olmsted Community House was
<br />again discussed and Mr. Decker is to attend the next meeting of the Committee.
<br />The Clerk is to compile figures also, and another meeting will be held.
<br />A communication from Mr. Henry Caster, President of the North Olmsted Community
<br />Council, was read, in which he defines Community Councils purpose as an
<br />organization in the community, their interest in the Community House, their
<br />willingness to cooperate with City Council, and request they be considered on
<br />any further action City Council may take regarding the Community House.
<br />Mr. Caster, from the audience, requested permission on behalf of Community
<br />Council, to have a community Christmas tree at the park this year, and also
<br />permission and assistance to have a power pole put in by the Cleveland Electric
<br />Illuminating Company for the purpose of having power available for the tree
<br />and also the possibility of a permanent sign, with removable letters, at
<br />North Olmsted Park to signify the activity at the Community House by the
<br />different organizations on specified days, as well as to have the power
<br />for a community Christmas Tree at the park each year. Community Council
<br />has X150.00 to pay toward the complete fixture, including Christmas decorations.
<br />The Illuminating Company is to have an answer for Mr. Caster shortly as to costs.
<br />Council felt it is a worthy project and it was moved by Mr. Peubauer, seconded
<br />by Mr. Schwenk that the Service Director be authorized to spend up to X150.00
<br />for the pole and power for the permanent electric fixture a.t the park. "Yeas"

<br />A communication was received from the County of Cuyahoga, District Board of
<br />Health in regards to a contract for health services for 195$ in the amount
<br />of X4,871.00. ~v%~s~'~
<br />Resolution No. 2596 was introduced by A resolution authorizing
<br />contract with General Health District of Cuyahoga County for 1958. It was
<br />moved by Mr. MacDonald., seconded by Mr. Baker, that the statutory rule be
<br />suspended and the resolution be read immediately the second and third times
<br />and put on its passage. The affirmative vote on said motion was as follows:

<br />become depository for active funds of the City of North Olmsted for a two-year
<br />period.
<br />Resolution No. 2598 was introduced by Mr. Kramer. A resolution estimating
<br />amount of active funds and designating depository for such funds. It was
<br />moved by Mr. Kramer, seconded by Mr. MacDonald, that the statutory rule be
