NOVENIDER 6, 1957 - PAGE 2. <br />Ordinance No. 25$2 was introduced by Mr. Schwenk. An ordinance accepting <br />Joe Bauer Butternut Subdivision No. 1, as revised, for subdivision purposes <br />and recording. It was moved by Mr. Schwenk, seconded by Mr. MacDonald, that <br />the statutory rule be suspended and the ordinance be read immediately the <br />second and third times and put on its passage. The affirmative vote on said <br />motion was as follows: Baker, Crider, Kramer, MacDonald, Neubauer, Porter, <br />Schwenk. Thereupon the ordinance was read the second and third times and <br />put upon its passage and the affirmative vote thereon was as follows: Baker, <br />Crider, Kramer, Neubauer, Porter, Schwenk. <br />The Mayor read a communication from the W. W. Williams Company of Columbus, <br />Ohio, advising the possibility of renting a Street Sweeper if the city so <br />desired. <br />The Mayor reed a communication from the United States Committee for the <br />United Nations., with which they enclosed a certificate to be presented to <br />Mr. Ray Helt, U.N. Day Chairman. <br />The Mayor read a communication from the State of Ohio Hepartment of Health, <br />Water Pollution Control Board which states in part as followss <br />"Enclosed is renewal permit for the discharge of sewage from your <br />municipality into the nwaters of the Staten pursuant to the <br />provisions of the Water Pollution Control Act of Ohio. <br />You will note that this permit expires October 15th, 195$. Renewal <br />of this permit is contingent upon compliance with the following <br />conditions: <br />1. Acquire site for the proposed sewage treatment works. <br />2. Prepare detail plans, specifications, and estimates of <br />cost of proposed sewerage and sewage treatment works <br />substantially in accordance with the general plan <br />approved September 25th, 1957, and secure approval <br />thereof the Ohio Department of Health. <br />3. Investigate ways and means for financing the construction <br />of the proposed sewers and sewage treatment works; formu- <br />late a program of financing and construction of the proposed <br />work and submit for approval. <br />Unless we hear from you to the contrary, it will be assumed that you <br />understand the conditions for renewal of this perwit.n <br />Signed: Ralph E. Dwork, M.D., Chairman <br />Water Pollution Control Board <br />The Mayor advised he had met with Mr. Phillip Engoglia, and the catch basins <br />on Mackenzie Road are under construction. <br />The Mayor reported that he had met with the County Commissioners in regards <br />to the rebuilding of Lorain Road (Route 10) on October 17th. He also wrote <br />to Mr. G. H. McKeever, Deputy Director, Planning & Programming, Ohio Depart- <br />ment of Highways, in which he informed Mr. McKeever that the County Commiss- <br />ioners reserved their decision pending receipt of further information from <br />the State. <br />The Mayor advised that Governor O~Neill spoke at the Lakewood Kiwanis Lunch- <br />eon and stated they had ~50,~,~ to use for building the roads i.n Ohio <br />on their Road Building Program. <br />The Mayor read a communication from Mr. Dan Benuska, in which he stated he <br />had corrected the condition on Ranchview from Brediger's to Martins, and <br />asks for release of the bond. It was referred to the Street Committee to <br />inspect it, <br />
