Mr. 0'Neill also stated
that he concurs with the Mayor as to the zonirig of Lorain Road but that in general we
have a good piece of legislation which took many hours to prepare and feels that
a group of people or any one individual shoulci not hold up the Ordinance because they
disagree with one paragraph.
Mr, M. Scanlon agasn appeared before Council irequesteng reconsideration of the
Zoning Ordinance relative tio the Zoning of Lorain Rd. and requested the entire
Council to consider amending the Ordinance.
Mr. Caster suggested that Mr. Scanlon make his request to the Planning Commission
for such an amendment to the Zoning Ordinance.
The Safety Director advesed that he felt that the reason why North Olmsted did
receive an award for Pedestrian Safety for 1961 was because we will not increase
the speed limit on residential streets such as Gessner Road from a 25 mile an
hour limit to a 35 mile an hour limit.
Mr. Caster reported on the meeting of the Community Council and advised that the
Homecoming is scheduled for August 24, 25, and 26.
Mr. Limpert moved, seconded by Mr. OoNeill, that Mro MacDonald's and Mr. Mangani's
absence be excused.
