.a . MINUTES 0F THE MEETtNG OF THE COUNCIL THE CITY OF NORTH aLMSTED, OHlO DECEMBER 4, 1962 - 8:20 P.M. Present were Paul J. Gareau, Mayor; Bruce MacDonald, President of Council; Henry Caster, James Leonard, Dewey Limpert, A.L. Mangani, Francis J. 0'Neill, Norman Van Zandt. Also present were Lloyd E. Sarnes, Service Director; James T. Wilson, Safety Director; George Schaaf, Law Qirector; Alex Kanareff, Engineer; and Louise Hall, Clerk. Absent: Ralph Christman, William Gerlach, Finance Qirector. The minutes of the meeting of November 20, 1962 were approved as corrected. The Servi ce Di rector advi sed that he had recei ved a corrrnuni cation from the State of Ohio requesting the City to re:new the permit for the discharge of water i nto Rocky Ri ver . The Engineer advised that neither the atate or the County have plans for the storm sewer on Lorain Road so therefore; he recommends that we not pursue this study further at this time as it would entail too much time and expense but that he feels this shouTd be done at a later date if the money is available. The Engineer presented improvement planis for Woodview Subdivision No. 1 to the Public Development and Service Committe:e for their approval. The Clerk read a communication from A.F. Germ regard'+ng the drainage problem on his property. The Clerk read a petition signed by 34 residents of Brookpark Extension requesting that the name of Brookpark Extension be changed to North Park Drive. Mr. J. Walker, 24176 Rosita Lane, read a communication from the Deputy Commissioner of the County Board of Health regarding the back-up of sanitary sewer on November 10, 1962 and inquired what action had been taken to rectify th i s s i tuat i'on . Mr. Walker and other residents of Rosit,a Lane were advised that they could view the pictures the Service Director had taken of the sewer and examine the report afte'r the Counci 1 Meet i ng. The Service Director requested authority to purchase a generator to use at the LeBern - Clague Rd. pumping station in c;ase of a power failure. This request was referred to the Finance Committee. The Service Director requested authority to purchase sewer cleaning equipment. Mr. 0'Neill advised that there will be a combined meeting of the Transportation Committee and theFinance Committee at 7:30 P.M. on Monday, December 10, 1962. Mr. Mangani advised that the City Planning Committee will resolve all matters under consideration and advise their rec:ommendations at the next Council Meeting. Mr. Limpert reported on the meeting of t:he Safety Committee and advised that the purchase of a new ambulance is sxi)lbeing studied.
