DECEMBER 4, 1962 - PAGE 2 <br />Mr. Limpert advised that the Safety Cammittee recomRiends the purchase of a <br />traffic light for the intersection of Dover and Butternut Ridge Roads and <br />a single phase light at Lorain and Poirter Roads. <br />The 5afety Committee also recommends t:he purchase of School Light Blinker <br />Systems far all schools, <br />The Safety Committee will contact the Board of Education to request that <br />a sprinkler system be installed at Buti:ernut and Coe Schools. <br />Mr. Limpert requested that the Public Utilities Committee study the <br />possibility of better lighting at inte:rsections. <br />Mr. Limpert advised that the Safety Ccimmittee received a letter from the <br />Junior Chamber of Commerce recommendinig several safety precautions to be <br />considered by the City. The Clerk was instructed to answer the Chamber's <br />letter and advise that ell these matters have been under consideration for <br />some time and steps are being taken to exercise these safety precautions. <br />Mr. Van Zandt advised that the Legislative Committee had a meeting on <br />November 25, 1962 to review the present building permit and inspection fee <br />schedules and requested that a Committee of Councit as a whole meet Monday, <br />December 10, 1962 at 8:30 P.M. to study the revised fee schedule. <br />Mr. MacDonald advised that he was in receipt of a letter from Mr. J.L. <br />Leonard, Councilman Ward l, advising that he would install a sidewalk on <br />West Park Drive at his own expense so that there will be no misunderstanding <br />of his interest regarding whether or not the developer of West Park Estates <br />will install sidewalks on West Park Drive at the devetoper's expense <br />and requesting that this letter be att,ached to the minutes of this Council <br />Meeting. (Getter attached) <br />Mr. Leonard advised that he feels this is a moral obligation on the developer's <br />part and that they should be advised o-F this. <br />Mr. A. Kanareff, City Engineer, who also resides on West Park Drive also <br />volunteered to install a sidewalk at Hs own expense. <br />Ordinance No. 62-202 was introduced by Mr. Caster. An ordinance amending <br />Sections 1 and 2 of Ordinance No. 62-67 enacted May 1, 1962, relating to <br />compensation for the Assistant to the t.aw Director who acts as Police Court <br />Prosecutor, and declaring an emergency. {t was moved by Mr. Caster, seconded by <br />Mr. 0'Neill, that the statutory rule be suspended and the ordinance be read <br />immediately the second and third times and put on its passage. The affirmative <br />vote on said motion was as follows: Cas;ter, Leonard, Limpert, Mangani, 0'Neill, <br />Van Zandt. Thereupon the ordinance was; read the second and third times and <br />put upon its passage and the affirmative votethereon was as follows: Caster, <br />Leonard, Limpert, Mangani, 0'Neill, Vari Zandt. <br />Ordinance No, 62-203 was introduced by Mr. Mangani and given its first reading <br />only and referred to the Planning Commission for their recommendation. An <br />ordinance amending the Zone Map adopted as part of Ordinance No. 62-33 (known as <br />the Zoning Ordinance of the City of North Olmsted) by changing the designation <br />thereon of certain land hereinafter described by metes and bounds (and otherwise <br />known as the southerly portion of Rose Tree Subdivision Parcel near the northwest <br />corner of the intersection of Clague Road and Lorain Road) from its present <br />designation thereon of Class C Residence Qistrict to that of.Xwo Family Residence <br />District. <br />
