Gareau, Mayor; Ralph Chr-istman, President Pro Tem of Council; Nenry <br />Caster, James Leonard, Dewey Limpert, A.L. Mzingani, Francis J. 0'Neill, Norman Van isndt. <br />Also present were Lloyd E. Barnes, Service Directpr; James T. Wilson, Safety DlreCtor; <br />George Schaaf, Law Director; Alex Kanareff, E:ngineer; WiTllam'Ger:Taeh, Finance Directpr; <br />and Louise Hall, Clerk of Council. <br />Absent: Bruce MacDonald, P.resident of Council. <br />The minutes of the meeting of December 4, 1962 were approved as corrected. <br />The Service Director advised that he was in receipt of a communication frqm the <br />State of Ohio advising that the plans had been approved for the package plant for the <br />South Ridge Subdivi9ion. <br />The Service Director advised that Floyd 6roWne & Associates have reque5ted an extensipm <br />of time for the Crano Construct+on Company to January l, 1963 and that he recommends <br />an extension to January 15, 1963 be granted. <br />The Clerk read a communication from the City Engineer recommending the retease of <br />bonds for the Beverly Hills Subdivision. <br />Mr. 0'Neill, chairman of the Transportation CiDmmltfiee, reported on their meeting of <br />December 10, 1962 and advised that the Committee recommends wage increases for <br />?•. <br />the Superintendent of Bus of $300.00; Bus Inspector -$300.00; arod the Equipment <br />Servicemen -$2.10 to 2.25 per hour. <br />Mr. Q'Neill advised that the Commitee will be canferring with Fairview in the near <br />future on the Bus Franchise which is to be renewed June, 1963. <br />Mr. 0'Neill advised that the Committee does not recommend purchase of new buses <br />at this time as the Finance Director has advissed that monies are not available <br />unless there is afare increa$e. <br />Mr. Van Zandt, chairman of the Legislative Committee, odvised that the committee <br />recommends an increase in building permit and inspection fees as outltned in the <br />schedule on file. <br />Mr. Gaster, chairman of the Finance Committee, advised that the committee recommends <br />the purchase of a standby generator to be usedl in an emergency at the LeBern-Glague <br />Lift station. <br />Mr. Caster advised that the Finance Committee recommends the fotlowing 5alary increase <br />for elected officials: <br />Mayor $5400.00 tq $6500.00 per year <br />Director of Finance $7500.00 to $8000.00 per year <br />Director of Law $5500.08 tm $7500.00 per year <br />President of Council $1400.00 to $1700.00 per year <br />Council $1200.00 to $1500.00 per year <br />The Finance Gommittee recommends the appointment of one Policeman and one Fireman <br />as authorized by existing legislation. <br />
