<br />Resolution No. 62-228 was introduced by Mr. Caster. A resolution granting an exten--
<br />sion to Jan,uary 15, 1963 of the completion clate of a contract between the City of
<br />North almstEd arad Crano Construction Co. fui-ther designated as Contract No. $ which
<br />presently expires November 30, 1962 and declaring an emergency. ft was moved by Mr.
<br />Caster, secmded by Mr. O'Neill, that the statutory rule be suspended and the resalutian
<br />be read immediately the second and third times and put on its passage. The affirmative

<br />The Law Director advised that after a complete search of the records he is of the
<br />opinion that we cannot force the developer of West Park Estates to install sidewalks.
<br />The Clerk was directed to contact the developer of West Park Estates advising them
<br />of Council's feeling on this matter to see iif they wiil install the sidewalks.
<br />Mr. 0'Neild moved, seconded by Mr. Caster, 1:hat the Law Director be directed to
<br />prepare legislation amending Ordinance No. ;;121 to increase the rates of the Bus
<br />?" Department personnelas follows: Superintendent of Buses -$7300.00 per year; Bus
<br />Inspector -$6000.u0 per year; Equipment Sf:rvicemen -$2.10 to 2.25 per hour. "Yeas"
