Barnes, Servi ce Di rector; George Schaafq Lawv Di rector;,larnes T. <br />GJilson, Safety Director; Wi1liem Gerlach, Finance Direc.tor and l..ouise Naap9 Clerk <br />Absente Alex Kanareff, Engi neer <br />The minutes of the meeting ot June 4, 1963 were approved as writteno <br />The Mayor requested legislation authorizing the expenditure of $488,73 ta pay the <br />City"s share of the expense of the defense to the East Ohio Gas Company"s appVication <br />for a rate increase. <br />Mr. Kaser-man, 23900 Lorain Rd., requested some action be taken to reduce the sevier <br />charge on the wateo- bill. <br />The Mayor advised that he has scheduled a meeting with the director of the Cleveland <br />Water Dept. to review the unusually large water bitls residents of Nor°th Olmsted have <br />been receiving. <br />A group of residents from Forest Ridge requested some action be taken to eliminate <br />the odor from the package sewege plat in their development and also that more steps <br />be taken to rid the area of the mosquitos that breed in the open ditch into which tehe <br />af f 1 uent f rom the sewage p 1 ant d ra i ns . <br />The Mayor advised that he would have the State and County Officials check this <br />treatment plarat to see what can be done to recitfy the conditon, <br />The Safety Director requested authority to advertise for radios for thE Polic,e <br />"cfd?wCv Department*- so that the change over to the new frequency ban can be made <br />as directed by the Federal Communications Commissions. <br />The Service Director advised that approval has been received from the 5tate for the <br />package sewage treatment plant for the Beverly Hills Estates Subdivision, <br />The Service Director read a communication from the Federal Government reyarding his <br />request for a Federal Grant for the Bus Cornpany. <br />The Service Dio°ector o°equested authority to increase the fee t'or bicycle licenses <br />f'rom $.25 per license to $,50 per license. This request was tur°ned over to the <br />Safety CommitteE. <br />Mr. 0'Nei11 repoc°ted on the meeting with Fairview Park regarding the Bus frenchise <br />and advised that an increase of $.05 on all fares and $.02 for school tokens had <br />been proposedo He requested a poll of Couricil to obtain approWal of the increase <br />and Council approved unaminously the proposed fare increase. <br />Mr. Christman moved, seconded by Mr. Mangarii, that the Law Director be directed to <br />prEpare legislation approving the ?mprovement plans for Rose Tree Subdivision No. 3; <br />jJ,W Deerfield Subdivision No. 3; and Woodv+ew Subdivision No. 2. "Yeas" Caster-9 Christman, <br />l.eonard, Limpert, htangani, 0'Nei 11, Van Zaridt. <br />
