<br />Resolution No. 64-33 was introduced by Mr, Limpert. A resolution authorizing the
<br />Director of Public Service and Public Safety to advertise fdr bids for three hundred
<br />tons of T-35 asphalt, and declaring an emergency. It was moved by Mre Limpert,
<br />seconded by Mre Mangani, that the statutory j-ule be suspended and the resolution be
<br />read immediately the second and third times and put on its passage. The affirmative
<br />vote on said motion was as follows: Caster, Hodgins, Leonard, Limpert, Mangani,
<br />Van Zandt. Thereupon the resolution was reaci the second and third times and put
<br />on its passage and the affirmative vnte thereon was as follows: Caster, Hodgins,
<br />Leonard, Limpert, Mangani, Van Zandt,
<br />Ordinance No. 64-34 was introduced by Mr. Ca:ster. An ordinanee establishing the
<br />duties and compensation cf the City Engineer and declarfng an emergency. It was
<br />moved by Mr, Caster, seconded by Mr. Leonard., that the statutory rule be suspended
<br />and thE ordinance be read immediately the sE.cond and third times and put on its
<br />passage. The afffrmati.ve vote on said motion was as follows: Gaster, Hodgins,
<br />Leonard, Limpert, Mangani, Van Zandt. Thereizpon the ordinance was read tlte second
<br />and third times and put Qn its passage and the afff.rmative vote thereon was as follows:

<br />The president appointed Mr, Leonard, chairman; Mr. Limpert and Mr. West to serve on
<br />a Swimming Pool Committee. Mr. Leonard advi:sed that the Swimming Pool Committee
<br />would meet February 10, 1964 at 8;00 P?Me
<br />Mr. Leonard moved, seconded by Mr, Limpert, t:hat the Safety-Service Director be
<br />authorized to enter into an agreement with Southwest Savings & Loan Compan.y to
<br />dedicate land to the City if the Gity install.s sidewalk and relieve them of $910.
<br />toward any paving assessment, if improvement takesplace within the next three
<br />years. The affirmative vote on said motion was as follows: Caster, Hodgins,
<br />Leonard,Limpert, Mangani, Van Zandt.
<br />The Mayor's recommendation that the Godified Ordinances be brought up to date and
<br />that Council appx°oprfate money for this was referred to the Finance Committee.
<br />Mr. Caster maved, seconded by Mr. Mangani, that the Mayor's appointments as follows
<br />be approved:

<br />William B. Gilbert Boiird of Building,Codd Appeals
<br />Muriel B. Eian Bokird of Zoning Appeals
<br />The affirmative vote on sai3 motion was as folbws: Caster, Hodgins, Leonard,

<br />The Mayor administered the Oath of Offfce to Wflliam B. Gilbert, Muriel B. Eitin and
<br />Margaret Weste
<br />A recess of five minut.es was declared so that the Committee on Appointments could
<br />review the Mayor's recommendatians for appointments to the Board of Building Code
<br />Appeals.
<br />Mr. Caster moved, seconded by Mr. Mangani, tYiat the following appointments be approved;
<br />William T. McMichael and Robert C. Hebebrand to the Board of Building Code Appeals.
