April 21, 1964 - Page 2 <br />The cast of widening Dover Road at the north intersection with Lcrain Rnad, as estimated <br />by the Engineer, was much higher than had been expected, but the committee voted tr= <br />direct Safety-Service Director Limpert to proceed with plans to alleviate the traar <br />problem, <br />The Committee recommends that Acting b'ire Chief DeWerth's request for a Bur??a o=f F.ire <br />Prevention to work with in-service inspections, and for the need far fire lanes, be <br />referred to the Legislative Committee, <br />The Committee alsq recommended that $2500 be appropriated for a controller cable t:o <br />be installed to control tr$ffic lights from Dc3ver to Brookpark inclusive on I,orain Road, <br />Mr. Caster, Chairman, Public Service Committee reported they met on April 18th to view <br />a demonstration by the AAA Pipe Cleaners' method of inspecting existing or new sewers, <br />wfth the ppssibility in mind of inspecting all. new development sewers before acceptance, <br />and inspection in trouble areas to ascertain t:he possible bad spots. <br />The Committee also discussed access to the nevy high school f rom McKenzie Road, ai7d <br />recommended that the Safety-Service Director be directed to have the engineer proceed <br />with a detailed analysis of the cost, includi.ng all improvements, of an access througti <br />Southern Avenue. <br />Mr, Caster repqrted his committee also recommend nothing be done about approving Noreen <br />Drive i.mprovement p1ans until the situation created with the present storm sewer ditch <br />is correeted. <br />Chairman Limpert reported the Transportation Committee met with Westlake and North Ridge- <br />ville officials on April 15th to discuss further the possibility of extending bus service. <br />A survey in Westlake resulted in a tremendous turnout of people interested in bus service <br />?.. on Cenfier Ridge. A house-to-house survey in North Ridgeville indicated a definite <br />interest in pervice, with various routes sugge;sted. The committee is analyzing the <br />reports and will try to come up with something definite. <br />Mr. Mangani reported that at the City Planning Committee's meetxng on April 20, 1964 <br />they recommonded that in the preliminary plat of Engoglia Subdivision, redivision of <br />Sublots 28, 29, 30 and 31 on Nancy Drive be approved. This was approved by the Plan-- <br />ning Commission on April 14th. <br />With regard to Welsch 5ubdivision, the Committe:e recommends approval, for record purpases <br />only, of the plat pf this subdivision and the vacation plat of the turn-around se.ction <br />of the street right-of-way, as approved by the Planning Commission and the City Engineer•.. <br />The Committee further recommends that Plan X in the Saul Biskind Subdivision 1 and 2 be <br />turned over to the City Engineer for a more accurate determination, as specified in <br />Proposed Ordinance 64-88. <br />They also recpmmend that Proposed Ordinance 64-88 amendfng the Zoning Ordittance to <br />permit Cluster Development Districts in "A" Residential Districts, be introduc.ed and <br />placed on f irst reading at Council meeting April 21st. <br />The Committee received a requested from Mr. DiBennedetto that Proposed Ordinance 62-•226 <br />relating to rezoning of a parcel to Mixed Use District, which has had two readings and <br />a public hearing, be placed on third reading for passage, The Committee recommended <br />that the Law Director review the possibility of such passage, and give an opinian to <br />the City Planning Committee before their next miaeting. <br />., ?, „ ?-x ? •???r?.. ,., . . , , ._ ??, ?? ? ???=??,? ????.,? <, ?r _ ... ? ,
