<br />Mr. Richard Puzzitiello of Hennie Homes Building Company appeared before Council to
<br />request a variance in the 50-foot back yard building line in the Woodview Subdi-
<br />vision No. 2, since he;wishes to build houses for $24,000 to $30,000 with attached
<br />garages, and the lots were originally set up for minimum houses in the $17,000 to
<br />$20,000 class, which would have detached garages within five feet of the back lines.
<br />Mr. Puzzitiello's request had been turned down by the Zoning Board of Appeals, who
<br />had referred him to the Planning Commissiona Mr. Macs, who was in the audience,
<br />explained that the Planning Commission recommends the variance.
<br />Law Director Kitchen was of the opinion that Council has no right to overrule the
<br />Zoning Board of Appeals, but suggested lwe could offer our recommendation to them.
<br />Mr. Mangani then moved that Council send a letter to the Zoning Board of Appeals
<br />recommending that they reconsider the Woodview Subdivision No. 2, by granting the
<br />variances on the rear yard setbacks for those houses where required. The motion
<br />was seconded by Mr. Caster. "Yeas" Caster, Hodgins, Mangani, Van Zandt, West.
<br />"Nays" Leonard, Limpert. Motion carried.
<br />At this time various residents were heard on the subject of constructing sidewalks
<br />on Stearns and MacKenzie Roads, where letters had recently been sent out notifying
<br />property owners to construct sidewalks.
<br />Mr. Caster made a motion that the June 13th deadline in the letter be ignored, pra-
<br />vided the permit for the construction of sidewalks is taken out by that time.
<br />Motion was seconded by Mrs. Hodgins. "Yeas" Caster, Hodgins, Leonard, Limpert,
<br />Mangani, Van Zandt, "°Nay" West. Motion carried.
<br />After a five-minute recess, Mr. Leonard moved t.hat the entire sidewalk program go
<br />back into committee. Motion was seconded by Mr. West. "Yeas" Leonard, West.
<br />"Nays" Caster, Hodgins, Limpert, Mangani, Van Zandt, Motion not carried.
<br />Ordinance No. 62-226 was given its third and final reading. An Ordinance amending
<br />the Zone Map adopted ag part of Ordinance No. 62-33 (known as the Zoning Ordinance
<br />of the City of North Olmsted) by changing the designation thereon of certain land
<br />hereinafter described by metes and bounds (and otherwise known as the Kamms Corner
<br />Realty Company Parcel) from its present designation which is of a general retail
<br />business district for a part thereof an.d a residence district for the balance to
<br />that of mixed use for the entire patcel.
<br />After remarks from several resi.dents of the area of the proposed change were heard,
<br />Mr. Mangani moved, seconded by Mr. Caster, that the ordinance be adopted as read.
<br />The affirmative vote on said motion was as follows: Caster, Leonard, Manganf,
<br />West. Oppcsed: Hodgins, Limpert, Van Zandt,

<br />Ordinance No. 64-90 was introduced by Mr. Mangani. An Ordinance authorizing and
<br />directing the cancellation of special assessments on Permanent Parcel No. 237-4-16
<br />being an assessment for the preparatiori of plans and specifications for sanitary
<br />sewers, and declaring an emergency. Mr. Mangani moved, seconded by Mr. West, that
