Page 2- May 19th, 1964 <br />Mr. Leonard, Chairman of the Swimming Pool Committee, reported that on May 9th <br />the committee met with the Junior Chamber of Commerce, the School Board and <br />interested citizens, The Committee will recommend that there be no action on <br />the fall ballot relative to a municipal swimming pool, <br />As Chairman of the Liquor Control Committee, Mr. Leonard also recommended that <br />Council take up in new business the matter of the application of Ohio Pizza <br />Corporation for a D-1 permit at 26127 'Lorain. The Committee is not in favor <br />of it. <br />Mr. Mangani reported the City Planning Committee recommends approval of the pre- <br />liminary plat. of the Saul Biskind Subdivision No. 1 between Stearns and Barton <br />Road. <br />The Planning Committee recommends remo,ving the word "walk" where it appears on <br />the Deerfield Subdivision No. 3 plat, iaith "and storm sewer easement", since it <br />seems to have been included in error. <br />With regard to the suggeations containiad in a letter dated May 4 from the North <br />Olmsted Community Improvement Committee with regard to the induatrial land in <br />North Olmsted, the Planning Commftee wjss in agreement with the Improvement <br />Committee's recommendationa, and augge:sts in Item 3 F limiting parking to <br />ten percent of the total, with a one-hundred foot aetback. <br />With regard to the requested change in zoning of the Kamms Realty Praperty <br />requested in Ordinance 62-226, the Planning Committee approves zoning to a mixed <br />use district. <br />The Clerk of Council read a letter recE;ived from John M. McElroy, Assistant to the <br />Governor, acknowledging receipt of our reaolution addressed to the Governor. <br />A letter from the Planning Comanission Ekdvising that they recommend adoption of <br />the fifty-foot setback on Lorain Road was read by the Clerk, <br />The Clerk read a letter from the Chambe;r of Commerce asking for contributiona to <br />their Fourth of July Fireworks program. <br />A letter dated May 11, 1964 from County Librarian Lewis Naylor, which gave mnre <br />specific information about the County I,ibrary's involvement with our proposed new <br />library building was read, <br />The Clerk read a letter received from A,lf red J. Tolaro, attorney, relative to a <br />storm sewer and easement over the prope>rty of Thomas and Eliaabeth King, 24277 <br />Rosita Lane. It was the Law Director's opinion that we should let them file <br />the suit. The easement was given by th.e original builder, who put in the pipe, <br />but incorrectly. <br />A letter from Jack J. Yelson, attorney for the Forest Ridge Eatates Civic Associa- <br />tion was read, proteating the granting; of a building permit to the Forest Ridge <br />Swim Club, as applied for, on the groun.d that it would averload the filter plant <br />and create a health hazard. <br />?A letter from the Department of Liquor Control advising of an application for a <br />D-1 permit by Chio Pizza Corp,, 26127 Lorain Road, wes also read. <br />With regard to the communication from Mr, Yelson, Mayor Christman reports that the <br />City Engineer is studying the capacity of the Foreat Ridge Plant, and obtaining <br />
