<br />Mr. Caster then moved, seconded by Mr. Lec>nard, that the rules of. Council
<br />requiring three readings on three separatE: dates be suspended as to the second
<br />and third readings. A vote was taken ther.eon whir_h was as follows: affirmative -
<br />Caster, Hodgins, Leonard, Mangani, Van Zandt, West,
<br />Mr. Caster then moved that the resolution be adopted under suspension of the
<br />rules of Council as an emergency measure. Said motion was seconded by Mr. Leonard.,
<br />A vote cvas taken thereon which was as follows: affirmative - Caster, Hodgins,
<br />Leonard, Mangani, Van Zandt, West.
<br />Ordinance No, 64-164 - An Ordinance authorizing the employment af special
<br />counsel to prepare and supervise proceedz.ngs for an additional tax levy for pro-
<br />viding for recreational purposes, was inti°oduced by Mr. Manganr. Mr. Mangani
<br />then moved, seconded by Mr. Van Zandt, that the proposed ordinance be read in
<br />f ull. The Clerk of Council read the proposed ordinance in full. Mr. Mangani
<br />then moved, geconded by Mr, Van Zandt, that the rules of Gouncil requiring three
<br />readings on three separate dates be suspended as to the second and third readings.
<br />A vote was taken thereon which was as fol:Lows: - affirmative - Caster, Hodgins,
<br />Leonard, Mangani, Van Zandt, West.
<br />Mr. Mangani then moved that the ordinance be adopted under suspension of the rules
<br />of Council as an emergency measure. Motion was seconded by Mr. Van Zandt. A
<br />vote was taken thereon which was as follovis: Castery Hodgins, Leonard, Mangani,
<br />Van Zandt., West, aff irmative.
<br />Resolution Noe 64-147 - A Resolution adopt:ing the budget of the City of North
<br />Olmsted for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 1965, and submitting the same
<br />to the County Auditor, was given its third reading.
<br />Mr. Mangani moved for adoption of the resolution, seconded by Mrs, flodgins.
<br />The affirmative vote thereon was Caster, Hodgins, Leonard, Mangani, Van Zandt,
<br />West.
<br />Mr. West took the opportunity to remind ezreryone that the budget is based on a
<br />$64,000,000 valuatfon - if the valuation cioes not come up to that, taxes will
<br />increase,
<br />Mr. Leonard made a moti.on, seconded by Mr. West, that Mr. llewey Liarpert's absence
<br />be excused. Affirmative vote thereon was as follows: Caster, Hodgins, Leonard,
<br />Mangani, Van Zandt, West.
<br />The President of Council than requested that a special meeting be held directly
<br />after adjournment of this meeting, in orde:r that Council might consider legis-
<br />lation authorizing the Safety-Service DirF:ctor to advertise for bids for twn
<br />buses.
