Page 3- July 21, 1964 <br />the special meeting, and placed on the agenda for that meeting. <br />Ordinance No. 64-170 was introduced by Mr, Van Zandt and given its first reading. <br />An Ordinance repealing Ordinance No. 943, enacted February 19, 1952 (Section <br />941.02, Chapter 941, Title 5 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of North <br />Olmsted) entitled "An Ordinance providing that tin cans placed in rubbish collec- <br />tion shall be flattened". Mr, Van Zandt requested that this matter be considered <br />on the agenda of the special meeting. <br />Resolution No. 64-171 was introduced by Mr. Gaster and given its first reading. <br />A Resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service and Public Safety to <br />install culvert pipe in the drainage ditch on the west side of Cyprus Drive from <br />the lot known as 6574 Cyprus Drive south to the Gity Limits, and declaring an <br />emergency, Mr. Caster requested that this legislation be placed on the agenda <br />for the special meeting. <br />Resolution No. 64-172 was introduced by Mr. Caster and given its f irst reading. <br />A Resolution amending Resolution No. 61-32, enacted February 21, 1961, and en- <br />titled "Resolution directing the Engineer to prepare plans, profiles, specifi- <br />eations and estimates for the installation and construction of sidewalks on the <br />east side of North Porter Road, west side Of Dover Center Road, East side of <br />North Barton Road, West side of Walter Road, West side of South Barton Road, <br />and declaring an emergency", Mr. Caster requested that this legislation be <br />put on the agenda for the special meeting, <br />Resolution No. 64-173 was introduced by Mr. Mangani and given its first reading. <br />A Resolution determining to proceed with t'he election upon the proposed issue <br />of bonds for the purpose of constructing and equipping an outdoor municipal <br />swimming pool with appurtenant structures, making site improvements and acquiring <br />necessary interests in real estate therefrr, and declaring an emergency. Mr. <br />Mangani requested that this legislation be placed on the agenda for the special <br />meeting, <br />Resolution No. 64-174 was introduced by Mr. Mangani and given its first reading. <br />A Resolution determining to proceed with the election upon the proposed issue <br />of bonds for the purpose of constructing, equipping and f urnishing a free public <br />library building and improving the site thereof. Mr. Mangani requested that <br />this Resolution be put on the agenda for t'.he special meeting. <br />Mr. West, Chairman of the Finance Committee, reported the committee has acted upon <br />the matter of creating a Chief Inspector, and has asked the Law Director to draw <br />up legislation. Mr. Labas asked whether it was to be retroactive, and Mr. West <br />advised that the committee had not so requested. <br />In answer to a question from Mr. West, Mayor Christman advised that the state had <br />submitted a list of communities applying f-or sewer grants ta the federal govern- <br />ment and we should know very shortly whether 1Vorth Olmsted'sipplication has been <br />approved. <br />Mr, Limpert reported that the the f irst day's operation of the new Ridgeville- <br />Westlake bus line was most encouraging.. He also advised that beginning August <br />Ist the new bus terminal will be the Continental Trailways Terminal just opposite <br />the Greyhound. terminal. <br />?.v,. , . ?.. <br />w " , "
