<br />Mr. Mangani moved that ithE Law DirEctor be rEquested to pr•epare legislation for
<br />the rezoning of parcels at Lorain and Stearns known as the Saso and Restivo
<br />properties, and that the map of the same be obtained from the Planning Commission.

<br />In response to a question from Mr, West, Engineer Labas advised that the infprma-
<br />tion on the water line extension will be available for the next regular meeting
<br />of Counc il .
<br />Mr. Mangani moved that the preliminary plat of the Bauman property subdivision
<br />on Southern Avenue as refrlected in the July 14th minutes of the Planning Com-
<br />mission be approved. Motion was seconded by Mr, West. "Yeas" Caster, Hodgins,
<br />Mangani, Van Zandt, West.
<br />Mr. Mangani asked that the minutes show that he has received preliminary plans of
<br />Golfview Subdivision from Mr. Bauer, and that it will be referred to the City
<br />Planning Committee.
<br />Mrs. Hodgins moved that the Safety-Service Director be authorized to advertise
<br />for bids for 500 tdns of salt to lae used during the winter. Motion was seconded
<br />by Mr, Mangani. "Yeas" CasteV, Hodgins, N[angani, Van Zandt, West.

<br />Mr, Mangani moved that Council go nn record as concurring with the Planning Com-
<br />mission's recommendation as to Mr. George Welsch's request for a variance in the
<br />front yard requi.rements of sublots locatedl in Leland Subdivision No. 3 and Welsch
<br />5ubdivision No. 1, the request befng for aL reduction from 50 foot requirements
<br />to 35 feet, and that Council's recommendat.ion be forwarded to the Board of
<br />Zoning Appeals, who are the ones to take aLction on the request. Motion was
<br />seconded by Mr. Van Zandt, "Yeas" Caster, Hodgins, Mangani, Van Zandt, West.
<br />The Safety-Service Director's request for an ordinance requiring policemen and
<br />£iremen to have a telephone in their homes was referred to the Legislative
<br />Gommittee for study.
<br />Mr. Caster requested that the Clerk request the Board of Zoning Appeals to furniah
<br />Council with capi.es of thefr minutes and decisions.
<br />Mr. Caster moved, seconded by Mr. West, ttLat Cauncil accept the report of the
<br />Assessing Board on the constructian of sanitary sewers, as pr•esented by Finance
<br />Director W. L. Gerlach, "Yeas" Caster, Hodgins, Mangani, Van Zandt, West.
<br />Mr. Caster then moved that legislation be prepared accepting the Assessing Board's
<br />report and authorizing the assessments. 14otion was seconded by Mr. West.
