MINUTES OF THE MEETING 4F THE COUNCIL <br />THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, OHIO <br />November 4, 1964 <br />8a12 P. M. <br />Present: Mayor Ralph Christman; President o£ Council Francis J. 0'Neill; Henry <br />Caster; Jack Fo1tz; Virginia Hodgins; James Leonard; Dewey Limpert; A. L, Mangani; <br />John West. <br />Also presenta W. L. Gerlach, Director of Finance.; Richard Labas, City Engineer; <br />Les Macs9 Chairman9 Planning Commission; Margaret West, Clerk of Council, + Dec. ?/h prer <br />Minutes of the meeting of Oetober 20th were corrected as follows- On Page 2, " <br />Paragraph 4, change "Bretton Ridge No, 4" to"Sretton Ridge No. 3:' Correct <br />Paragraph 3, also on Page 2 ta read "presented a preliminary plat on Great <br />Northern Boulevard as modified by the Planning Commission, and a preliminary <br />plat as modified by the awner." Also on Page 2, in the paragraph at the bottom <br />regarding Ordinance 1Vo, 64-245, strike out "and declaring an emergency." <br />T'he Mi.nutes of the October 20th meeting were then approved as corrected. <br />Minutes of the special meeting of October 23rd were approved, as read. <br />Mayor Christman called attention to the minutes of October 6th which state that <br />Mr. Foltz' term on the Planning Commission expzres on December 31, 1964. Correctly <br />Mr, Foltz" term expires on December 31, 1968, and Mr. Musial's appointment Ys for <br />that period. Mr. Caster moved that the minutes af October 6th be corrected to <br />show that Mr. Musial is appainted to a term ending December 31, 1968, Motion was <br />secnnded by Mr, Manganie "Yeas" Caster, Foltz, Hodgins, Leonard, Limpert, Mangani., <br />West, <br />T'he Mayor asked Council to study the copy of Rocky River's ordinance regarding <br />the length and width af oversize vehicles. <br />Mayor Christman also reported there will be a meeting with the State Highway <br />Department an November 16 at 10s30 at Elyria Savings & Trust regardfng the possi- <br />bility of making Route 10 a limited access route for approximately 1,000 feet <br />from the proposed intex°section with Interstate 80. A few feet of North Olmsted <br />property are involved, and residents in that area will be notified of the hearing. <br />Safety-Service Director Limpert furnished Council with a written copy of his <br />report. He requests consideration of legislation requiring all food extablish- <br />ments to have a 1,000 gallon grease trap installed outside the building at least <br />10 feet from the building, He also requested legislation to change the title af <br />the Street Gommissioner to Superintendent of Public Works. He requested authority <br />to advertise for an automobile for his use, not to exceed $2,000, so that he <br />cauld have communication equipment installed, and he requested authority to <br />install phone equipment temporarily in mobile units and the offices, unti.l a <br />license can be obtained for the use of radio equipment. <br />Engineer Labas reported he has approved the plans for Beverly Hi.lls Subdivision <br />No. 2 extensione He has also checked the Bretton Ridge #3 cluster acreage and <br />fcaund it to be satisfactory, although sligtty under the original amount discussed, <br />He also reported turning over to the Law Director the fo o?g? cl,inens: Bretton <br />Ridge #3; Southern Avenue Subdivision; Beverly Hills Parlc?ivi?ion #1; and <br />Beverly Hills Rox*-Subdivision #2 extension, The Beverly Hills ?
