Bruce Kitchen, Director of <br />Law; Del Limpert, Safety-Service Director; Richard Labas, City Engineer; Leslie <br />Macs, Chairman of the Planning Commission; Margaret West, Clerk of Council <br />Minutes of the meeting of November 4th were corrected as follows: In the next <br />to the last line, Page 1, it should read Beverly Hills Park Estates Subdivision <br />#l; in the Iast line strike out the word "Park" in two places. <br />The minutes of the November 4th meeting were then approved as corrected. <br />Mayor Christman requested that Council authorize a secretary for the Board of <br />Building Code Appeals, since ttieBoard's work load has increased and a secretary <br />has become a necessity. <br />The Mayor also requested that Council make a motion authorizing the advertising <br />of bids for the construction of the Zone 3 sewers. <br />, Mayor Christman reported he had received a new letter from the Board of Health <br />for services for 1965. It has been turned over to the Safety Committee of Council <br />for authorization to enter into an agreement with them. <br />He reported that an equalization board should be appointed to hear objections <br />to the water line assesstherits for Barton, and other roads, and a date set for <br />the hearing. Legislation will be needed to create and board and set the date. <br />The Mayor requested a committee of Council meet with him to go over some of the <br />information on hand on garbage and rubbish disposal methods for the future. <br />He reported the Police <br />program similar to one <br />Council to discuss the <br />cars, buildings, traff <br />contacting the PTA and <br />some of the cost. <br />Department is considering undertaking a Safety Town <br />in Fairview last year, and they would like to meet with <br />program. It will require the expenditure of money for <br />ic signals, a blacktopped area, etc. The Police are <br />other civic groups in the hope of getting funds to eover <br />Safety-Service Director Limpert in his written report requested legislation for <br />authority to advertise for new tires for mobile equipment of the City. He <br />reported that school crossing flashing sign lias been purchased for westbound <br />traffic on Lorain east of Columbia. The new front-end loader purchased for <br />$18,000 is now in operation. Included in the cost was a trade-in allowance <br />for the old loader. <br />City Engineer Labas reported approval iDf Alternate #5 of the preliminary plans <br />, for location of Great Northern Bouleva.rd proposed water main. He recommends <br />that Council consider final acceptance and dedication of North Park Subdivision <br />No, 1 when a bond has been posted for sidewalks and treas, and when an approved <br />grading plan has been agreed upon. <br />
