They will consider it furthern <br />Mr. Foltz also repot-ted that Mr. Gundy had requested that Urdinance 2445 (the <br />o!d Zoning Ordinance) Page 3, Section V be compared with the present ordinance,, <br />This would be a matter to be consldered by the Design and Platting Committee< <br />The 5afefiy-Service Director requested that the sergeant for the Police Depart- <br />ment not be limited to the Detective Bureau specifically. <br />Mr, Eian, Chairman of the Safety, Heaith and Welfare Commit-hee reported that <br />at -Fheir last meeting on September 15, 1966, they considered the foilowing: <br />1. The possibilfty of instaliing atraffic SIghBI at St. Brendan Schooi. While <br />a study of a sPgnal layout for the area is being made, the schooi guard is ta <br />be relocated, and school safei-y patrol guards loca-Fed at Gessner. <br />2. The possib(iity ofi banning parking on both sides of Brendan Lane, Michael <br />Avenue, David Drive, etc., where parking on both sides of the streets is resuit- <br />ing in partial blocking of the streets and ls a sefety hazardo More study on <br />this is recommended. <br />3. A request -ho make Andrus Avenue a"play sfi reet". The committee recommends <br />that this not be done. <br />4. Fines for parking tickets. It is recommended that IegPslation speliing out <br />specific fines for parking violations be passed, with $3.00 for violation in <br />regular "no parking" zones and $5.00 ?ior violat-ion in fire lanes being suggesteda <br />5. Control of truck traffic on Loraln Road. The overtaking and passing of ofiher <br />moving vehicles by trucks was discussed, but needs further study before any action <br />?
