4 <br />September 6, 1966 - Page 2 <br />Mro Caster, Chairman of the Municipai Deve'opment Committee, reported they <br />met , and as a result there is legislation on rthe agenda for water main and <br />sanitary sewer connections on Southern Avenue, and to proceed with the Dover <br />and Kennedy Ridge sidewaiks. They i~ecommend and wiil ask for legislat-ion <br />for the dedicatFOn of Cottonwood Trail Subdivision. They also recomrriend <br />that legisiatlon be drawn fio force buiiders to put in s6dewaiks in Park Ridge <br />where there are none at the present timea They discussed and recommend the <br />proposed ordinance for the improvement of Dover Center Road at Lorain, and <br />9egislation is on the agenda, The Committee 'is trying to work out a solution <br />to the probiem of four property owners on Lansing Drive where there is about <br />378 feet of open dwtch, which they would like culverted,. At present- ther-e <br />is no money available in the budgefi, <br />Mr. West, Chair-mari of the Finance Committee, reported that as a result of their <br />meeting on August 22nd, they are requesting legislation be drawn changing <br />Title 5, Chapter 139 so thai- revenue from copies of police reports, now being <br />paid into the Pension Fund, be paid to the General Fijnd. A search is bEing <br />made to determine whether any other things are being paid lnto the fire and <br />police pension funds, before it is turned over to the State. <br />Mro Mangani, Chairman of the Public Parks and Property, reported on a meeting <br />held with representatives of the North Olmsted Play School, Inc., relative to <br />a proposed raise in cabin rental rates. Fresently expenses for aperating the <br />Community Cabin are running about $8,000 a year, and rental income about $4,000, <br />An anticipated increase in the custodian's pay next year would make the deficit <br />even greater, and Mr. Mangani asked for, en opinion trom Council as to whether <br />they wish to work an the rate schedule, or leave 1t a:cne, Mr. Caster, Mrm <br />Eian and Mro Foitz voted in favor of leaving the rates as is, and Mrs. Hodgins, <br />Mr. Limpert, Mro Mangani and Mr. West voted to review it. In view of Council's <br />vote, Mra Mangani stated he would arrange a meeting with the Community Council <br />to discuss rates and proposed changese <br />Mre Mangani also reported a meeting between his committee and the Board of <br />Education to go over an agreement for the Spruce School road. The Law Director <br />is preparing an agreement, which Council is authorizing the Mayor to enter intoe <br />Mr. Mangani, Chairman of Design and Piatting Committee, reported they w+ll <br />request legwslation authorizing the Mayor to accept sidewalks easements for the <br />placing of sidewalks in the cul-de-sac on Brighfion Drive, where a problem has <br />arisen. <br />They also discussed, and recommend acceptance of the annexation of territory <br />in Olmsted Township as previousPy approved by the Board of County Commissioners. <br />The Committee recommends that this territory should be zoned Class A residential <br />as soon as dt is accepted by the City, <br /> <br />
