September 6, 1966 - Page 8 <br />Mro Caster read a communication from the Safety-Service Director relating <br />to the proposed resurfacing of Lorain, fio be done by the State Highway <br />Department, wifih the City picking up approx+mately 20% of the cost. The <br />Stafe Highway Department would require a r-esolution of necessity from Council <br />before the work couid be done. The matter was referred to the Finance <br />Committee for study. <br />Mr. West requested that legislation be drawn authorizing the Safety-Service <br />Director to advertise for bids to sell two backhoes. <br />Mr. West asked that legislation be drawn to change the C,.)dified Ordinance <br />Title 5, Page 139.05 to read as in the minutes of the Finance Committee, <br />This would be that revenue from making copies of police reports be paid to <br />the General Fund and not the Pension Fund, and a charge of $1.00 per page be <br />made instead of $1.00 per report. <br />Ffnance Director Gerlach was requested to research the crdinances to see <br />what is being paid to Police and Fire Pensian fundso <br />The Legislative Committee will review the Safety-Service Director's request <br />for an addifiional Sergeant in the Detective Bureau. <br />The Finance Commitfiee will study the possibility of adding more auxiliary <br />pallce, as requested< <br />The Legislative Comm'ittee is to undertake a study of the ordinances govern- <br />ing removal of dilapldated buildings. <br />The Legislative Committee was asked to study the possible prohibiting of <br />metal buildings such as the car wash. <br />Mr. Caster requested that the Clerk contact the Equalization Board for the <br />Southern Avenue storm sewer assessment to set up a meeting on September <br />14th. The Munlcipal Development Committee Is to meet with them at their <br />first meefiing, <br />Mr. Caster requested that legislatlon be drawn for the dedication of <br />Cottonwood Trails Subdivision, with the Engineer supplying the correct <br />description. <br />Mr. Caster requested that legislation be prepared to force the developers <br />in Park Ridge on various sublots to install sidewalks under Section 729. <br />Mr. Mangani set October 20th at 8:00 P.M. for the public hearing on Ordinance:: <br />No. 66-197, 66-200 and 66-213. <br />Mro Mangani requested that leqislation be drawn authorizing the Mayor to <br />accept easements for sldewalks in the Brighton Drive cul-de-sacs. <br />. - ,_ ?
