MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />July 5, 1966 <br />8:10 P.M. <br />Present: Mayor Ralph Christman; Henry Caster; Carroll Eian; Jack Foltz; <br />Virginia Hodgins; Dewey Limpert; Alex Mangani; John West, President Pro Tem, <br />A15o Present: J. Bruce Kitchen, Director of Law; W. L. Gerlach, Director <br />of Finance; pel limpert, Safety-Service Director; Richard Labas, City Engineer; <br />Margaret West, Clerk. <br />Tne`pub11d'hearing'6n the 1'967 budget was declared open. There being no comments, <br />Council fihen proceeded with the regular order of business. <br />Minutes of the meeting of June 21, 1966 were approved as read. <br />Mayor Christman reported he had been conferring with the State Highway Depart- <br />ment about resurfacing Columbia Road. He requested that Council consider a <br />resolution requesting the State to resurface Columbia. The City's portion <br />wouid be 20%. <br />Mayor Christman also reported that the County Commissioners have approved the <br />petition to annex thirty-four acres from the Township to North Olmsted. It i s <br />his understanding there is a sixty-day waiting period for the filing of possible <br />objections. Then it will be up to Council to accept or reject the proposal. <br />Mr. Mangani raised the question of how the City could control the development <br />of this area which is now proceeding, when it is not yet a part of the City. <br />The problem was referred to the Design and Platting Committee. <br />Safety-Service Director Del Limpert reporfied to Council that he would like to <br />buy a chipper for grinding up tree limbs, Christmaa trees, etc. <br />City Engineer Labas reported that plans have been revised for- paving for <br />Southern Avenue Subdivision, and are on file along with revised estimafie of <br />cost and revised assessments. <br />Mr. Mangani reported that a meeting of the Municipal Development CommittEe with <br />Mr. DiBenedetto last week did not produce a sufficiently detailed breakdown as <br />to culvert sizes and lineal feet invoived in Sandy Ridge. He is to have a more <br />detailed report prepared and resubmlt it to the Committee. <br />Mr. Mangani, Chairman of the Design and Platting Committee, gave a report of <br />action taken during their meeting on June 30th. <br />The Committee feels that Ciaybourne Gardens, should be approved, even though <br />fihere seems to be some confusion over what action was taken by the Planning <br />
