<br />? <br />May 17, 1966 - Page 2 <br />Mr. Caster, Chairman ofi the Municipal Development Committee of Council, r-eportej <br />on the meeting his committee held last Tuesday with residents of Southern Averue <br />with regard to their tentative assessments for storm sewer. He outlined sevelaI <br />good points which 'were b,rought up' at the meeting, the drainage of some properties <br />north of Southern which are in the drainage path but not being assessed, and <br />the possibility of assessing Southern as a lateral, and picking up the balan?_e <br />of the cost in another way. The future path of 1-80 in this vicinity was aisc, <br />discussed, and the re is to be another meeting arranged with the residents an:a <br />a representative from the State Highway Department at an earfy date. Mr. <br />Caster recommended that legislation be requested to set up an equalizatic;n c:;arci <br />with the names of inembers blank, to be filled in if legislation is later der?ided <br />upon. <br />Mr. Foltz, Chairman of the Legislative Committee reported that they recommend <br />amending Section 3 of Ordinance 66-101 and reducing the fine to $25.00. The,/ <br />also concur with the Safety-Service Director's request to add the words "exrept <br />with authoriziation of the Service Director" to the proposed amendment of <br />Section 517.07 of the Codified Ordinance - Removal of Waste or Rubbish Restricted <br />to the City, and will ask for legislation. <br />Mr. Limpert, Chairman of the Transportation Committee met with Mayor Dunson of <br />Fairview Park, and the Fairview Transportation Committee, for discussion of,the <br />proposed extension of the bus contract with them. The Committee suggested no <br />fare increase, just a renewal of the existing contract. Comments from Fairview <br />officials were favorable and a contract will be drawn up tq present 1-o Fairview. <br />The Clerk read a letter from the Planning Commission advising that they had <br />approved the changinq ot the name of WQst 237th Street to Brendan Lane. <br />The Clerk read a letter from the Planning Commission raquesting a thirty-day <br />extension on the Phillip Engoglia Subdivision #2 for further study and evaluation4 <br />The Clerk <br />authorize <br />from Duane <br />with their <br />read a letter from the Planning Commission recommending that Courcil <br />the Engineer to draw <br />Avenue from Driscoll <br />letter. <br />a dedication plat for the widening and extension <br />to Canterbury, as shown on a drawing submitted <br />Mr. Donald Horace, agent for the owners of Sublot No. 9, in the vicinity of :_orain <br />and Silverdale, gave a lengthy report on their appearance before the Board ?f <br />Zoning Appeals, and requested a rezoning of the lot in question so that they <br />could carry out their plans. <br />After some discussion of the entire matter thus far, Mr. Mangani advised Mr: <br />Horace that the request would have to be refsrred to the Planning Commissien <br />for their ruling, and requested tllat a copy ofi Mr. Horace's letter and a <br />reference to the Board of Zoning Appeals minutes of May 4th, item No. 6 therein, <br />be included in the letter referring the matter to the Planning Commission.
