? y <br />January 4, 1966 - Page 2 <br />the assessments for sidewaiks on Larain, McK"zie-and Stearns Roads, but their <br />report is not yet complete. <br />The Committee recommended that the Se-t-vice-Director notify property owners on <br />Burns Road where sidewalk is to be replaced, and fwrther recommended that where <br />damage occurred because of expandfng tres roots, the City remove the cause at <br />their expense. <br />The Committee further recommended that the-Law Qirector revi$w the proposed <br />agreement from the County Engineer for the improvement of Dover-Center Road on <br />the Northerly side of its intersectipn with Lorain, and prepare legislation <br />for the City to pay 25% of fihe cost of the improvement. <br />Mr. Mangani, Chairman of the City PIā¢anning CommittQo, repo.rted-they will rsquest <br />that Resolution No. 65-316 aecepting the Karl K-iesel Subdivision be put on <br />emergency and passed. <br />President 0'Neill recognized the presence pf inembers of the High School Problems <br />of Democracy Class who were in the audience, and asked tMem to intrQduce themselves. <br />Ordinance No. 65-312 was given its 5econd read,ing. An Ordinance adopting the <br />minimum standards for residential swimming pools as established by the National <br />Swimming Pool Institute. <br />4D Resolution No. 65-314 was given its second reading. A Resolution authorizing <br />the Director of Public Service and Pubiic Safety to adveftise for bid$ for a <br />1966 one-half ton pick-up truck for the-Sewage Treatment Planfi. <br />Resolution No. 65-316 was given its second reading. A Resolution accepting <br />for record purposes only the Kacl Kiesel Subdivision, and deelaring.an emergency. <br />Mr. Mangani read a letter from Mr. Kiesel, aqreeing to install a drain in his <br />subdivision at the City's request. Mr. Mangani then moved for suspension of <br />the rule requiring three separate readings of the resolution, seconded by Mr. <br />West. Affirmative vote fihereon was CasfiEr, Eian, Foltz, Hodgins, LimPert, <br />Mangani, West. Mr. Mangand: then mqved for adopfiion of fihe resolutiQn, seconded <br />by Mr. West. Affirmative vote was Caster, Eian, Foltz, Hodgins, Limpert, Manqani, <br />West. <br />Ordinance No. 65-344 was given its second reading. An Ordinapce authorizing <br />the Safety-Service Qirector to advertise for bids on the real properfiy located <br />on Summerland Avenue within the City of North Oimsted according to the terms <br />and provisions of Ohio Revised Code 721.01 and 721.03. <br />President 0'Neill called Council's attention to the fact that Ordinance No.66-1 <br />and ' 66-2 d i dnot 'com6 out of comm i ttee, norhad th6y' been ? rafiei?red d'e a' comm i ttee <br />for study, and he recommended referral into committee before being acted upon. <br />After discussion, and verbal reports from eommittep chairmen who were aware <br />of the proposed leqislation and had considered it, Mr. Caster moved that the <br />?
