Afifirmative-vote was Caster, Eian,Fo{tz, Hodgins, <br />Limpert, Mangani, West. Mr: Manganl then moved for adoptlan of the ordinance <br />seconded by Mr. Limpert. Afflrmafiive vote was Caster, Eian, Foltz, Hodgins, <br />Limpert, Mangani, West. <br />Ordinance No. 66-13 was introduced by Mr. West. An (}r"dinance aufihorizing and <br />directing the canceilatlon of spee-ia{ asse-ssmsrtts on Permanenfi Parcel No. <br />231-23-10 being an assessment for construction of a sanitary sewer lateral, and <br />declaring an errtergency. Mr. West moved for suspension of the rule requiring fihree <br />separate readings of the ordinance, seconded by Mr. Eian. Affirmative vote <br />thereon was Caster, Elen, Foitz, Hodgins, Limpert, Mangani, West. Mr, West <br />then moved for adopfiion of the ordinance, seconded by Mr. Eian. Affirmative <br />vote thereon was Caster, Eian, Foitz, Hodgins, Limpert, MFangani, West. <br />Mr. Limpert asked that a resolution.be•drawn expressing the gratitude of the <br />City of North Olmsted to Mr. Georqa Christman for his long faithful service <br />to the City, similar to the form submitted to the Law Director. <br />The Safety-Service Director?s request for a packer-type garbage truck was <br />referred to the Finance Committee. <br />' • Mr. West asked about progress on the Ambler fiax assessment refund, and was ad- <br />vised that the delay ls in the County Auditor's office, where they are <br />presently overloaded with work. <br />Mr. Mangani inquired whether fihere was a time limit on the federal granfi far <br />the library which might run out during the litigation, Mr. Kitchen will <br />check the matter. <br />A discussion arose rsqarding the practise of chang-ing subdivision names, and <br />splitting certain subdivisions into No. I, No. 2, etc. which is causing <br />some confusion. The clerk was instructed to write to the Planning Commission <br />calling their attention to the fact fihat the only time sueh a change shouid <br />be made is by petition of the developer that Council permit such a change. <br />Mr. Mangani advised that Cifiy Planning Committee will undertake a study of a <br />possible change in the Platting Ordinance so that conttnuous sidewalks will <br />be installed in new subdivisions. <br />President 0'Neill announced the appointment of Mr. Eian to the Appointments <br />Committee of Council, and referred the Mayor's recommendations to that Comm+ttee. <br />The recommendations were James McEntee to the Board of Build(ng Code A{zPeals <br />for a five-year term ending 12/31/70; James'Prokasy for reappointment to the <br />Planning Commission for a five-year fierm end(ng December 3I, 1970; Donald <br />Packe to the.Recreation Commission for a five-year term ending December 31, <br />1970; and McConnell A. Coakwsil to tfie Civif Serviee Commissio:a for a six- <br />year term end i nq. December 31, 1971.
