<br />The Legislative Committee further reeommended that Zone G lot sizes in new
<br />developments be increased in depth, and this recommendation was forwarded to
<br />the Planning Commission,
<br />T'hey alsca recommended that the charter include a provisinn that an annual report
<br />be sent to the resiclents of North Olmsted,
<br />Mr, Leonard, Chairman of the Liquor Control Committee, reported on their meeting
<br />with representatives of Shakey's regarding the use of both of •their parmits, by
<br />checking identification at 10:00 P.M. in the smaller raom and allowing only
<br />18-year olds to remain and selling loc,r-powered beer, and using the D-2 permit
<br />in the larger room, After some discussion it was agrEed that on Frf.day and
<br />Saturday nights the D-T permit would not be used until 11:00 P.M. and that
<br />during the week it would be 10:00 P.M.
<br />Mr, Leonard, Chairman of the Public Utilities Committee reported on their
<br />meeting the same night, at which Mrs> Hodgins and Safety-Service Director
<br />Limpert were present. They discussed the possibility of limiting the com-
<br />mercial pick-up of garbage, which is becoming a problem, and wfll ask for
<br />ordinances from other cities now the type of arrangement under diseussion.
<br />T'hey will study the problem and report back to Council,
<br />Mr. Caster reported for the City Piannfng Committee in Mr. Mangani's absence.
<br />They recommend that legislation be drawn for a prelimfnary plat on Deerpath
<br />No. 4, with the stipulation that Lots 23 and 29 be reserved for future street
<br />openings.
<br />The committee also recommends that a public hearing date be set for the zoning
<br />and platting ordinance changes now before Council,
<br />Mr, West, in the absence of Chairman Mangani, reported on the Public Parks,
<br />Property and Recreation Committee meeting held on March 15th at which they
<br />met witte the School Board to discuss the library grounds and the proposed school
<br />si.te on Dover, anel to worlc out the proposed procedures and recommendations on
<br />the transfer of the property, and the use of the pr.operty on Dover Road, The
<br />Law Director is now dreawing up the necessary deeds, contracts, etc.
<br />It is tfie recommendation of the committee to the Law Director that the contract
<br />should provide for a committee to be made up of two members from the Council,
<br />two members fram the School Board, two members from the Recreation Commission
<br />and the Mayor, cr his repres€:ntative, to make recommendations as to the use of
<br />the grounds at Doverc, what fQrm of recreatfon shoulcl be included, what funds
<br />sh.ould be spent, etc,
<br />Mr, West, Chairman of the Finance Committee reported on their meeting on March
<br />Ilth at which they cmnsidered the following items: $15,000 far the city's
<br />portion of the 1964 sidewalk program; $52,000 for the city's portion of Great
<br />0"WW Northern Boulevard; $10,277 for the city's portion of the water lines on Barton,
<br />etc,; $8,000 frr the dity's partion of Southern Avenue extension; $23,500 for the
<br />cit.y°, portion of the 1965 sfdewalk program; $5,000 for the North Park storm
<br />sewex° and $38,000 for the Porter, Decker, Burns sturm sewer. In view of the
