<br />Page 2- March 2, 1965 <br />be passed, <br />The committee wfll ask for legislation for improvement plans and specifica- <br />tions for Southern Avenme between McKenzie and Decker, excepting storm <br />sewers. <br />Legislation will be presented appointfng a Board of Equalization, and the <br />date for the hearing will be set when this comes up fo'r passage. <br />The eommittee recommends that plans and speefffcatfons be drawn up for the <br />sidewalk between Clague Road and the playground, <br />The Barton Road and Columbfa Road sidewalk plans are fn eommittee for review. <br />The commitee recommends that the administratfon proceed in obtaining the <br />remainder of easements for pover Road before proceeding.: with plans and <br />specifications for pover Road sidewalks, <br />The committee reeommends that legislation be drawn authorizing the City to <br />pick up a certain amount of dollars from the 1964 sidewalk program, the exact <br />figure to be furnished by the Finance Director, <br />Since the Law Director has not yet reviewed the deed in connection with the <br />North Park Package Plant9 the third reading will be held up until the deed <br />has been revfewed, and information given the Safety-Service Director is <br />also reviewed< <br />Mr. Limpert reported on the Finance Committee meeting held February 25, at <br />which Council as a whole went over the budget. <br />After the budget discussion, the Finance Committee met to discuss the re- <br />commendation from the Transportatfon Committee regarding hospitalization <br />befng pafd for the bus drivers. The committee is recommending to Council <br />that legislation be drawn to thfa effect, and it will be requested under <br />new business< This is for the employees' portion of hospitalization only, <br />and not family coverage. <br />Mr, Leonard, Chairman, Liquor Control Commfttee, reported meeting with his <br />committee on February 23rd to discuss the application by William Thomas Mack <br />for a C-2 permite The same conditions prevafl as the last tfine Mr. Mack <br />applfed for a permit, The address given is a vacant lot on whfch no building <br />permit has beenzpplfed fore The committee therefore opposes the permit, <br />and under new business will request legislation be drawn to so notify the <br />State Liquor Department in Columbuse <br />Mr. Mangani, Chairman, Public Parks, Property and Recreation, reported a <br />committee meeting on February 22nd, with Mr. Cavanno of Ostendorf-Morris, <br />regarding the possible purchase of the Sealtest property for a City Hall, <br />and according to the architects' report, to buy this property and remodel <br />it to serve a projected populatfon of 75,000 would take in the neighbar- <br />hood of $622,000, The matter was referred to the Finance Committee at <br />their budget meeting, but authority fs so limited, and the budget so tight, <br />that the only way to finance such a project would be to put a bond issue <br />on the November ballota Under new business, Councill wfll be polled as <br />to their feelings in the matter, <br />
