<br />Mro Caster, Chaarman of Appoantments Committee,, reported three recommenda-
<br />tions of names submitted by the Mayar. One, for Planning Commission,
<br />Donald G. Ledvina, to fulfill the unexpEred term of Norman Musial, expir-
<br />ing 12-31-68; the second, for iBoard of Zoning Appeals, Richard B. Lancashire9
<br />to fulfill unexpired term of Richard Nelson, 12-31-69; and the third, on the
<br />Planning Commission, Richard Nelson, to fulfill the unexpired term of William
<br />Scheeff, 12-31-70o Mrm Caster moved that Donald G. Ledvina fulfill the un-
<br />expired term of Norman Nlusial on Planning Commassion (12-31-68), seconded by
<br />Mr. Prokasy. Affirmative vote :aster, Eian, Hodgins, Limpert, Miller, Pro-
<br />kasy, West. Mr. Caster then moved, seconded by Mr. Prokasy, that Richard B.
<br />Lancashire fulfill unexpired term of Richard Nelson on Board of Zoning Ap-
<br />peals, expiring 12-31-69, Affirmatwve vote Caster, Eian, Hodgins, Limpert,
<br />Miller, Prokasy, West, Mre Caster moved, seconded by Mr. West, that Richard
<br />Nelson fulfill unexpired term of William Scheeff on Planning Commission, ex-
<br />piring 12-31-70. Affdrmative uote Caster, Eian, Hodgins, Limpert, Miller,
<br />Prokasy, West.
<br />Mr. Caster, Chairman of Municipal Development Committee, said Bretton Ridge
<br />l, 2, 3 and 4 are ready to be dedicated and legislation will be requestedo
<br />Also that the report of the Equalization Board on objection to sidewalk on
<br />Dover Center Road had been receiveda Mr. Caster moved that Council accept
<br />this report, seconded by Mr< Eiana "Yeas" Caster, Eian, Hodgins, Limpert9
<br />Meller, Prokasy, West. Equalization Board's report concerning estimated
<br />sewer assessments on Sanitary Sewer Contract No, 12 has also been received,
<br />and Mr. Caster moved that Council accept this report. Mr. Prokasy seconded
<br />motiono "Yeas" Caster, Eian, Hodgins, Limpert, Miller, Prokasy, West.
<br />Mra Eian, Chairman of Safety, Healxh s Welfare Committee, said committee had
<br />met October 17th, They had again discussed gun control problem. Committee
<br />is recommending to Council that a resolution be prepared stating that we are
<br />opposed to gun registration but urge stiff penalties for illegal use of fire-
<br />armso They also again discussed fire hydrants for new commercial buildings
<br />being on same side of street, and are asking the Fire Chief to make certain
<br />definite recommendations. The Committee agreed there is a definite need
<br />for glue sniffsng ordinance since the City has had some problems in this
<br />area. The Bu+tternut and Dover "left turn" problem has been observed during
<br />the critical time between 7:15 and 8:15 a.m. The general concensus is that
<br />left turn sign will not solve the problemA At this time further study is
<br />required before a solution can be offered. Committee discussed and will ask
<br />for legisiation pertaining to a curfew. It is felt that we need this in case
<br />a riot should ariseo It would permit the Mayor to act and direct the situa-
<br />tiono Traffic lights on Brookpark and Route 17, easterly limits of City, at
<br />Clague and Columbia, etc, were discussedo Committee understands that it
