<br />in order to start at Gracee The remainder could go into the 1969
<br />appropriations, Mr. West questioned why Brookpark rather than Lorain,
<br />Mr. Eoan said the timers on Brookpark are much older. The committee
<br />had also discussed the Columbia and Cedar Point light, and the informa-
<br />tion they had received from a meeting with store owners regarding the
<br />"green arrow" on Lorain, The Safety, Health and Welfare Committee will
<br />meet again on NoVember 14th, at 8:00 p.m,
<br />Mr. West, Chairman of the Finance Committee, said this committee will
<br />meet on NovAmber llth, at 8:00 p.m., to finalize balance of appropria-
<br />tions, make adjustments, plus further work on 1969 budget,
<br />Mr, Prokasy, Chairman of Design and Platting Committee, said they would
<br />meet on November 12th, at 8s00 p.m. This Committee requests legislation
<br />be prepared for vacation of Lamont Avenue; also, legislation for record-
<br />ing divisions Mn the Olmsted Woods Subdivision, involving making five
<br />smaller lots into three larger oneso They also recommend legislation
<br />for releasing of S/L 23, S/L 109 and S/L 143 in Sandy Ridge #2, which had
<br />been reserved for street purposes for a 3 year period which would be up
<br />in May of 1969o These lots will not be used for streets and developer
<br />would like to build on them while they are sti11 building in area, and
<br />before sidewalks are put in,
<br />Mro Prokasy, Chairman of Public Parks, Property and Recreation, said that
<br />plans for swimming pool in City are temporarily delayed until Recreation
<br />Commission furnishes Council with master recreation plan. This should
<br />come shortly after first of year.
<br />Mr. 0'Neill mentioned receiving notice of ineeting on November 15th at Parma
<br />City Hall on gun legislation to which North Olmsted Council members are in-
<br />vited if interested.
<br />T.he Clerk read a letter of appreciation from former Safety-Service Director
<br />Del LimpPrt, expressing his appreciation for recognition accorded him in
<br />Resolution No. 68-160o Also, a letter from Building Commissioner Gundy
<br />relative to demoiition of frame shed, located on Perm. Parcel #232-17-12, 4474
<br />Porter Roado At this time one shed has been demolished, and the second shed
<br />on property should also be demolishedo
<br />Ordinance Noo 68-65, which had been introduced by Mrs. Hodgins, was given
<br />its third reading, "An Ordinance authorizing a charge for commercial refuse
<br />collection." Mrs. Hodgins moved for adoption of Ordinance, seconded by
<br />Mr, Eiano Affirmative vote Caster, Eian, Hodgins, Limpert, Miller, Prokasy,
<br />Weste
<br />Ordinance No, 68-126, which had been introduced by Mr. Miller, was given
<br />its third reading, "An Ordinance authorizing the impounding of any shopping
<br />cart obstructing or littering the right-of-way of public streets, sidewalks,
<br />or public grounds in the City of North Olmsted, Ohio." Mr. Miller moved for
<br />the adoption of the Ordinance, seconded by Mrs. Hodgins, Affirmative vote
<br />Caster, Eian, Hodgins, Limpert, Miller, Prokasy, West.
