<br />The msnutes of ineetinc of Council of September 17th were approved as
<br />correctedo Page 2, second paragraph should read "the Swimming Pool Com-
<br />mittee" has requested Gouncil, etc. On Page 5, Mr, Eian's reference to
<br />Ordinance No0 68-12 should read "Turn Right on Red with Caution," Page
<br />2, per request received from Mr. Earl J. Timothy, 29863 Broxboui-ne, the
<br />addition of this sentence "The Mayor had stated at the July 2, 1968
<br />meeting that the City was not planning to abendon Gui?ford Road.", to
<br />be inserted after the second sentence in this paragrapha
<br />Mayor Christman proclaimed the 315t of October to be set aside as "Hallowe'en
<br />Trick or Treat Night," urging all motorists to be alert and watch for chitdren
<br />crossing strests. He reported that as of October ist, Mr, Norman Musial is
<br />resigning from the Planning Commission and the Community Improvement Corpora-
<br />tione Mayor Christman mentioned that the Council Chambers have been made
<br />available to Congressman William E. Minshall on iuesday, October 8th, from
<br />5.30 pama until 9000 p.m., for calls from people of the 23rd Congressional

<br />Mrs, Hodgins, Chairman of Liquor Control and Public Service & Utilities
<br />Committee's reported on Public Service & Utilities Committee meeting of
<br />September 23rd with Mr. Monihan of Mineral Researche He has suggested
<br />a tentatove site for the digester on the Cuyahoga River, but as ,yet we
<br />do not have his complete report,
<br />Mro Caster, Chairman of Appointments, Industt-ial Development and Municipal
<br />Development Committees, said the Municipal Development Committee had met on
<br />September 24th with Mra Williams and Mr, Merkleo The majority of committee
<br />recommend `€nstallation of a temporary culvert at Kennedy Ridge extending from
<br />its prasent location to inlet basin north of Sunset Qvala One of the committee
<br />member's, Mro Frokasy, cammented that he did not; feet it was necessary to ex-
<br />tend this culvert, since the ditching along Co1umbsa Road will be extended
<br />the length of Columbia for the purpose of drainage of paving and then Council
<br />will be facing the same situatson.
<br />Mr. Caster said the Equaiization Board on Southern-Decker-Midvale paving has
<br />been submitted to Councile He outlined their three recommendationse
<br />1) Reduce estimated assessments for Decke; R.oad to 50% of published
<br />figures, except sidewalks which should remain as showna
<br />2) Reduce estimated assessments for Southern Avenue to 50% of the pub-
<br />lished figures except sidewalks which should remain as shown.

<br />lished figures, except sidewalks which should remain as showno
<br />Since the report has just been received, it will have to be studied in com-
<br />mitteeo They ww11 make their recommendation to Council at next Council meeting.
