<br />Mr, Caster reported on objections to 1967 Sidewalk Peograme Mr, John L.
<br />Minotti, 25950 KPnnedy Ridge Road, had objected to cost of sidewalk, yet
<br />acknew3edges fact that he had been notified of cosi of sidewalk assessmento
<br />He then !et G'sty put it in and subsequently ob_jected to cost. Therefore,
<br />the CommittPe feels his objection should not bP hono;ede Mre Edward M.
<br />Young, 4738 Dover Center Rd., assessible frontage fogure in error by 3.5'
<br />amounting to $17,33. Mr. Caster then moved that Counc;l accept the recom-
<br />mendations of Committze for 1967 Sidewalk Program, seconded by Mra Prokasyo
<br />"Yeas" Caster, Eian, Hodgins, Limpert, Miller, Prokasyy Weste
<br />Mre Miller, Chairman of Legislative Committee, sald this committee had me'L
<br />Septembsr 30th with the Service Director and Building Commessionero They
<br />are progrsssing with a workable code for apartment rentals in North Olmsted
<br />and anticipate havi:ng it finished soon.
<br />Mro Eian, Safety, Nealth & Welfare Committee Chairman, announced that on
<br />October 9th, at 8°00 p.m., at the North Olmsted Sportman's Ctub, this com-
<br />mittee, and as many other Councilmen as possible, would meet to discuss
<br />gun control legislation. The Potice Chief and the Mayor are also urged
<br />to attendo The Law Director is requested to attend tooe
<br />Mro West, Finance Committee Chairman, said this committee would meet on
<br />October 8, at 8a00 poma
<br />Mr, Prokasy, Public Parks and Recreation Chairman, said this committee has
<br />considered request by letter from William R. Green on encouraging p)ans for
<br />cw- City poole The Committee agrees on necessity of pool in City, and would
<br />certainly support ito However, they do feel that reque$t ?hould be referred
<br />to the Recreation Commission. The Clerk was asked to do so by lettera
<br />Mro Prokasy reported that Design & Platting Committee has had several meet-
<br />ings lately, and hopes shortly to be able to present some land use studies
<br />on Lorain aaid poss+ble zoning changes on Lorain Road.
<br />Mr, Caster said that on the Dover Road sidewalks, there are four trees in-
<br />volved. The Engineer has worked out possible aidewalk easements for three
<br />and a method to work the sidewalk around the fourthe Committee is planning
<br />to meet witli these people to arrange for agreement for permanent sidewalk
<br />easement,
<br />Mr, George Pe'ian5ky, 5742 Porter Road, expressed feeling that radar on Decker,

<br />Mrse Catherine 0'Malley, 5743 Porter Road, inquired how long it will be before
<br />Council accepts the report of the Equalization Board and when work would be
<br />started, Mro Caster replied Council will either accept or reject report by
<br />next Counc,il meeting. If accepted, then Council will need Resolution to pro-
<br />ceed iri to advertise for bidse After bids are accepted, contractor can
<br />start anyi-i;nee Because of season of year, pavement and/or sidewalks will not
<br />be starr-_J this year probably.
<br />Mr, Robert Thompson, 5749 Decker Roaci, thanked the Equalization Board for the
<br />time r_hey have put in on this job and said he hoped Council will weigh all
