<br />Council Meeting 9-3-68 <br />-2- <br />Mr. Clarence W. Powel?, 5459 Decker Rd., spoke to Councal regarding cost of <br />sidewalks and said he feels most people cannot afford sidewalkso He also <br />qusstioned Council about permit needed, etc. <br />Mr. Herman Kaserman, 23900 Lorain Rd., inquired about "no stopping or standing <br />on Lorain Rd." and asked just what does this involve, what about mail boxes, de- <br />livery men, etc. It was agreed that this problem needs to be taken up and will <br />be investigated and discu3sed at the next Safety Committee meeting on Wednesday, <br />September ilth, at 8;00 pom. Mr. Frangella, of the Post Office, and Mr. Kaserman <br />were both invited to attend this meeting. <br />Mr. Robert Thompson, 5797 Qecker Rd., addressed Council on the cost of paving <br />Southern, Decker Midvale area - concrete vs. asphalt - asking what Council had <br />come up with after investigating certain asphalt paving in Bay Village. <br />P1rs. Donald Draudt, 27180 Pompton, asked Council about paving on south side of <br />Butternut between Fitch Rd, and new Butternut Ridge Scnoola Mr. Caster said <br />this will not be ready thos yearo <br />Ordinance No. 68-97, which had been introduced by Mr. Prokasy, was given its <br />third reading. An Ord6nance amending Ordinance Noe 65-59 (Codified Ordinances <br />of the City of North Olmsted, Chapter 945, Section 945.06) effective March 2, <br />1965, and amending Ordenance No. 66-298 (Codified Ordinances of the City of <br />North Olmsted, Chapter 945, Section 945.06) effective December 7, 1966, and <br />declaring an emergency, Mr< Prokasy moved for the adoption of this ordinance, <br />seconded by Mr, Castero A.ffirmative vote Caster, Eian, Hodgins, Limpert, <br />Miller, Prokasy, Westo <br />Ordinance No. 68-104, which had been introduced by Mr. Miller, was given its <br />third reading, "An Ordinance establishing Chapter 702 entitled "Traveling <br />Public Shows or Carnivalso" Mr. Miller moved for the adoption of this ordin- <br />ance, seconded by Mr. Limpert. Affirmative vote Caster, Eian, Hodgins, Limpert, <br />Miller, Prokasy, Weste <br />Ordinance No. 68-112, which had been introduced by Mr. Miller, was given its <br />third reading, "An Ordinance authorizing the Building Commissioner to proceed <br />with the Demolition or removal of the dwelling on f'ermanent Parcel No. 235-6-29, <br />Kennedy Ridge Rd., Nos-th Olmsted, Ohio," Mr. Miller moved for the adoption of <br />this ordinance, seconded by Mre Eian. Affirmative vote Caster, Eian, Hodgins, <br />Limpert, Miller, Prokasyo West voted no. <br />Resolution No. 68-142 was introduced by Mr, Castero A Resolution declaring it <br />necessary to improve certain streets and public easements by constructing sani- <br />tary sewers, sewer curb connections and necessary appurtenances, including nec- <br />essary street resurfaceng and restoration of drainage facilities (Contract No. 12, <br />Zone 2), and declaring an emergency. Mr. Caster moved for the suspension of the <br />rule requiring three separate readings, seconded by Mr. Prokasy> Affirmative vote <br />Caster, Eian, Hodgins, Limpert, Miller, Prokasy, West. Mr. Caster then moved for <br />the adoption of the rescalution, seconded by Mr. Prokasy. Affirmative vote Caster, <br />Eian, Hodgins, Limpert, Miller, Prokasy, West. <br />
