<br />Mr. West moved that the Fiscal Officer furnish his certificate in connection
<br />with Ordinance No. 68-56. Motion was seconded by Mr. Prokasy. "Yeas" Caster,
<br />Hodgins, Limpert, Miller Prokasy, West. Mr. Gerlach complied with the request.
<br />Ordinance No. 68-56 was introduced by Mr. West. An Ordinance to provide for
<br />the issuance of a note in anticipation of the levy of special assessments and
<br />in anticipation of the issuance of bonds to pay the property owners' and the
<br />City's portions of the cost of improving Canterbury Road and Sweetbriar Drive
<br />by installing sanitary sewers, sewer curb connections dnd other necessary ap-
<br />purtenances, and declaring an emergency. Mr. West then moved for the suspen-
<br />sion of the rule requiring three separate readings, seconded by Mr. Prokasy.
<br />Affirmative vote Caster, Hodgins, Limpert, Miller, Prokasy, West. Mr. West
<br />then moved for adoption of the ordinance, seconded by Mr. Prokasy. Affirma-
<br />tive vote was Caster, Hodgins, Limpert, Miller, Prokasy, West.
<br />Ordinance No. 68-57 was introduced by Mr. West. An Ordinance authorizing
<br />the Mayor to select and enter into a contract to retain the professional
<br />services of an architectural firm to prepare a preliminary study and cost
<br />estirnates for the construction of a new City Hall and Givic Center, and de-
<br />claring an ernergency. Mr. West then moved for the suspension of the rule
<br />requiring three separate readings, seconded by Mr. Limpert. Affirmative
<br />vote was Caster, Hodgins, Limpert, Miller, Prokasy, West. Mr. West then
<br />moved for adoption of the ordinance, seconded by Mr. Limpert. Affirmative
<br />vote was Caster, Hodgins, Limpert, Miller, Prokasy, West.
<br />Ordinance No. 68-5$ was introduced by Mr. West. An Ordinance transferring
<br />appropriations for current expenses for the City of North Olmsted, and de-
<br />claring an emergency. Mr. West then moved for the suspension of the rule
<br />requiring three separate readings, seconded by Mr. Caster. Affirmative
<br />vote was Caster, Hodgins, Limpert, Miller, Prokasy, West. Mr. West then
<br />moved for adoption of the ordinance, seconded by Mr. Caster. Affirmative
<br />vote was Caster, Hodgins, Limpert, Miller, Prokasy, West.
<br />Under old business, Mr. West inquired about the Clean-up Program and the
<br />sign in Park. Safety-Service Director Limpert said there is a new sign
<br />being made. Mr. West also inquired if anything had been done on the swale
<br />and easement in Park Ridge Sub-Division. Mr. Limpert said they had come
<br />to an agreement now and work would be done as soon as weather permitted.
<br />Under new business, Mr. Miller requested legislation be drawn up to repeal
<br />Part 7, Section 713.01 etc. of Codified Ordinance, as it is in conflict
<br />with recent State decision.
<br />NndeProkasy moved that rezoning request from Spade Buildens be rejected,
<br />seconded by Mr. Caster. "Yeas" Caster, Hodgins, Limpert, Miller, Prokasy,
<br />West.
<br />Mr. West requested legislation to revise Ordinance No. 68-9 so that under
<br />Section I.C. it will read four Sergeants instead of 3 and in Section I.D.
<br />it will read 3 Police personnel instead of 2 in the Detective Bureau.
<br />This would be emergency legislation.
<br />Mr. Dewey Limpert requested legislation be drawn up for new Blasting Ordin-
<br />ance and said that he will submit information to Law Director Kitchen.
