Air pollution was doscussed at <br />length. Committee is reviewing Chapter 1349 on Garbage Incinerators to <br />see if updatang os in order. This can now be approved by Councilmatoc action. <br />Mr. Eian requested Clerk have copy of this file for each member of Council <br />by our next meetingo Committee also recommends one addational fareman be <br />added to force ommediately. Mr. Eian also mentioned Ordinance No. 66-101 <br />whech refers to requirement of 32" hagh house numbers on new homes, and <br />recommended that as owners of older homes replace numbers they use 3z" <br />numbers en the interest of safety and in case of fire. The Committee <br />wsshes to reveew Ordinance 67-288 (ordinance on nursing homes) more exten- <br />sovely. <br />Mr. West, chaarman of Finance Committee, said this committee met on February <br />19th, and decided to recommend to Council and will ask for legislation to <br />have an appraisal and authorize purchase of Parcel No. 232-12-10. Committee <br />is recommendsng a change in appropriatsons for Police Department equipment <br />to $2500.00, and legoslation to increase funds in Fire Department for one <br />addetuonal fsreman. The Committee will ask for legislation to increase <br />Dog Wardenes salary to $2500. Also for legislataon to complete organiza- <br />tuonal chart of 9ncome Tax Department by adding a partmtime administrator. <br />Committee also wants legislation for a temporary division in Engineering <br />Department for Sewer Phase #4 inspection and engineering. Also legislation <br />estableshang salary of City Prosecutor at $2400/yr. They are requesting <br />legaslation for SafetymServcce Director to take bids for a sewer inspecting <br />machsneo Mro 0°Neill asked Mr. West to take into consideration requests in <br />Sa€ety-Servuce Durector's report needing legoslatione <br />Mr. West also reported for Mr. Prokasyy, chairman of Design and Platting Com- <br />mittee, on theor meeting of February 13th. Saks and Gotdberg have aequired <br />addetional land between Brendan Lane and Clague, and are submitting a new <br />proposal to Planneng Commission. On the Jamestown Rezoning request9 the <br />Safety Servece Director and the Caty Engineer are working with the developers <br />on ptans for widening Columbia Road near Brookpark. <br />The Publoc Parks9 Property and Recreataon Committee have a number of requests <br />to work on, and will meet on February 27th at 7:30 p.m. Design and Platting <br />and Munucipal will meet at 8:30 p.m. <br />The Clerk read letter from North Olmsted Recreation Commission asking for <br />clarsfacateon on capital improvements figure from Council and requesting <br />that anew total be established for same. The Clerk was requested to send <br />copy of Recreateon Commiss6on minutes to all members of Council.
