<br />The Clerk read two letters from David L. Margoiius of Jamestown Villages
<br />and well send copAes of same to Council membe,s and C9ty Engeneer Dutton.
<br />Mrs. Hodgins moved that action on Ordinanc.e No. 67m288 be postponed until
<br />March 5th, seconded by Mr. West. Affirmative vote by Casger, Esan, Hodgins,
<br />Miller and West.
<br />Mr. Caster asked if there was any reason to hold passage of Ordinance No,
<br />68m7, Law D6rector Kitchen saod there is no corporation in exastence at
<br />thms tame. Mr. Caster then moved that action on :his paece of legislation
<br />be postponed until March 19tho Mr. West seconded motion. "Yaas'a by Caster,

<br />Ordinance No. 68-9 was given its therd reading. An Ordinance establishing
<br />the organczation and composition of the Police Department of the Cmty of
<br />North Olmsted; establishing salaries of the members of the Police aepart-
<br />ment while on duty for the City of North Olmsted; establishing the per diem
<br />allowance to be paid to the Police employees while attending Police School
<br />and repealing Ordinance No. 67-291, Ordinance No. 67-290, Ordinance No. 67-
<br />2879 Ordanance No. 67-263, Ordinance No. 66-319, Ordinance No. 66-336y
<br />Ordinance No. 65-271, Ordinance No. 65-235, and declaring an emergency.
<br />Mr. West moved for adoption, seconded by Mr. Eian. Afformative vote was
<br />Caster, Eian, Hodgins, Miller, West.
<br />Resolution No. 68-10 was given its third reading. A Resolution expressing
<br />the views of the Council with regard to residence opportunitees within the
<br />City. Mrs..HQdgins moved for adoptoon, seconded by Mr. Miller. Affirmative
<br />vote was Caster, Eian, Miller, West. Negative vote Hodgins. Since Mrs.
<br />Hodgins had 3ntroduced this legislation but voted against it, Mr, 0'Neill
<br />entertained motion to reconsider Ordinance No. 68-10. Affirmative vote by
<br />Cas*er, Eian, Miller, West to rescind motion. It was then reintroduced by
<br />Mr. Miller, seconded by Mr. Eian. Affirmative vote by Caster, Eian, Miller,
<br />West. Negative vote by Hodgins.
<br />Resolution Na. 68m25 was given its second reading. A resolution recognizing
<br />a moral elaim against the City of North Olmsted to Kenneth R. Timbrook in
<br />the amount of ninety-three dollars and ninety-four cents ($93094).
<br />Ordinance No. 68-30 was introduced by Mr. Caster. An emergercy ordinance
<br />enacted by the City of North Olmstedy Cuyahoga County, Ohio, 6n the matter
<br />of the hereenafter described improvement, under the supervision of the Direc-
<br />tor of Highways: whereas, the Director of Highways is considering improving
<br />a portson of the public highway which is described as follows: the improve-
<br />ment of SR-252, section 3.45, which lies withon the corporate limits of the
<br />City of North Olmsted and known locally as Coiumbia Road by removing distressed
<br />surface course as directed, replacing with 403 asphalt concrete leveling course,
<br />correcting lmw areas with 403 asphalt concrete intermediate course and resurfacing
<br />length and width with 404 asphalt concrete surface course 1inch thick; place
<br />617 berm material and adjust sewer and utility castings to grade. Length of
<br />project: 11,299,2 linear feet or 2.14 milesy width: 22 feet, Mr. Caster
<br />moved for the suspension of the rule requiring three separate readangs, sec-
<br />onded by Mr. Eian. Affirmative vote was Caster, Eian, Hodgins, Miller, West.
<br />Mr. Caster then moved for adoption of the ordinance, seconded by Mr. Eian.
