Council Minutes 2m6m68 mgs <br />Mr. Caster rnoved that Councol accept Floyd Browne's preliminary plans <br />40 for trunk lene connecting Parkstone and Hampton to the Lift Station <br />at north end of Dover Road, Mr. West seconded motion, "Yeas" Cas*er9 <br />Eian, Hodgens, Limpert, Moller9 Prokasy, West. <br />Mr, Caster requested legoslation be prepared for payment of mora3 claim <br />ko Mrs. Camp in amount of $50.00. <br />Mre West requested legislation authorizing the expendmture of $6,565>00 <br />as the City's portion of repaving of Columbia Road souzh of Lorain, <br />Mrs. Hodgins referred to Mr. Dutton's letter of January 22nd to Finance <br />Committee requesting funds to fix swale between Carla and Noreen, on Ward <br />2. Also, she would like to have Mr. Dutton check 23405 Tree Lane. Mrs. <br />Hodgins again referred to her request regarding the Savako and Edward°s <br />properties, and asked if the Finance Committee had ever consedered it. <br />Mr. Dutton commented that a study is being made by Floyd Browne as ta where <br />we can put draan tile. This matter is in the Finance Committee. <br />Mrs. Nodgcns requested legislation establishung a charge for commercial <br />pick-up effectEVe June lst. <br />Mr. 0°Neill read part of Mr. V. D. Campbell's letter (Chief of the Division <br />of Weights and Measures) to Mayor Christman reporting that thia department <br />is very satisfied with their check-up and findings of weight on pre-packaged <br />merchandise (meats) at both Rini's and Fisher's. <br />Mre Miller said tenants have called complaining about the Horizons West <br />apartment house in regard to heating and hot water. Building and Zoning <br />Codes do not cover this, and he feels a study should be made of these prob- <br />lems. Mr. 0'Neill requested Mr. Miller take up this problem with the 8oard <br />of Building Code Appeals and the Building Department. <br />Mr. Prokasy requested legi4lation for Jamestown rezonong. Also that a date <br />be set for publ i c heari ng for same. <br />Mr. Prokasy made a motion that rezoning request for Saks-Goldberg be rejected. <br />Seconded by Mr. West, "Yeas" Caster, Eian, Hodgins, Limpert, Miller, Prokasy <br />West. <br />Mr. Caster moved that Council accept Engineer's final assessment report on <br />Dover-Kennedy sidewalk at the cost of $4.95 per foot. Mrs. Hodgins seconded <br />mAtion. "Yeas" Caster, Eian, Hodgins, Limpert, hliiler, Prokasy and West. <br />Mr. Dewey Limpert said the bus drivers had made a request sometime ago, <br />and had been told it would be considered at a later date, but before we <br />can do this we well need a further° status report. Committee will get <br />figures and review them. The Transportation Commettee and the Finance <br />Committee well meet February 19th, at 8:30 p.m., and then the Finance <br />Committee will meet after thes combined meeting is finishede <br />M,r.
