Councsl Manutes 1-16-68 <br />s2_ <br />Mr. Caster, Chairman of Appointments Committee, said this comrnittee goes along <br />with the Mayor"s appoentments to the vacancies occuring on various commissions <br />and boards, <br />Mro Caster moved that Council approve Mayor's recommendation for the appointment <br />of Anthony Klemer to Civil Service Commission, term ending December 31, 1973• <br />Motaon seconded by Mr. Westo "Yeas" Caster, Hodgins, Limpert, Prokasy, Weste <br />Mr. Caster moved that Council approve Mayor's recommendation for the appointment <br />af Lindbergh Forcellini to Board of Zoning Appeals for term ending 12-31-72. <br />Motaon seconded by Mr. Prokasy. Leonard to Planning Cornmission, term ending 12-31-72. Motion seconded <br />by Mr. Limperte "Yeas" Caster, Hodgins, Limpert, Prokasy, West. <br />Mr. Caster moved that Council approve the Mayor's recommendation for the appointment <br />of E. W. Byers to replace James Prokasy on the Planning Commission for term ending <br />12-31-70. Motion seconded by Mr. West. "Yeas" Caster, Hodgins, Limpert, Prokasy, <br />Westo <br />Then Mr. Caster moved that Council approve the Mayor's recommendation for the re- <br />appointment of A1 Dansberg to the Board of Building Code Appeals for term ending <br />December 31, 1972. Motion seconded by Mrs. Hodgins. "Yeas" Caster, Hodgins, <br />Limpert' Prokasy, Weste <br />Mr. Caster then moved that Council approve Mayor's recommendation for the reappoint- <br />ment of Albert Koontz to Recreation Commission for term ending December 31, 1972• <br />Motaon seconded by Mr, Prokasyo "Yeas" Caster, Hodgins, Limpert, Prokasy, West. <br />Mre Caster then reported as Chairman of the Industrial Development Committee that <br />this Committee had met January lOth, with four property owners from the area, as <br />to how the coming of I-80 coming through this area would affect their property. <br />One owner volunteered to organize a group of property owners in this area who <br />would attempt to put down details on what would be needed, such as roads, etc. <br />This commattee will welcome their suggestions and ideas, and also be glad to have <br />them sit in on any of Committee's meetings. They will meet again on second Wed- <br />nesday of next month, February 14th. <br />Mre Caster, chairman of the Municipal Development Committee, reported on their <br />meeting of January 8th. Committee discussed the Dover-Kennedy Ridge sidewalk <br />cost. Actual costs are rather high, and subject was put back into committee for <br />further consideration of per foot cost. The final cost of Canterbury Road Sewer <br />program was discussed. tt was $5,000 over budget in final cost. Cormnittee re- <br />commends City pick up 40% of this increase. This will add about $2,000 to the <br />CityOs cost for this improvement. Construction costs are mainly responsible. <br />Committee recommended that we pick up the sidewalk program which was scheduled <br />for 1967; and requested Safety-Service Director to instruct Engineer to prepare <br />plans and specifications for sidewalks for following: South side of Butternut <br />Ridge Rd.; completion of lh'eresa Lane; west side of Columbia, north of Lorain; <br />Dover from Butternut to Lorain, east side; east side of South Barton for the <br />extent of the sanitary sewer; Root Road, opposite side to sanitary sewer; west <br />side of Canterbury, south of Butternut; Esther Avenue; Virginia Avenue; Maple <br />Redge; Decker-Lorain to Midvale, both sides. <br />?. <br />;
